Yea, it was some good racing last night. Secret, next time bring a car with a little more horsepower!!!! I felt like you were driving a really good handling go-kart.

no kidding!!! gosh i was doing fine in that 10 minute race up and down the mountain (that was by far my favorite track we all raced on), but the straights murdered me...

im on driver level 10, so i just got a 2010 chevy camaro SS as my reward! time to finish off events i didnt complete yet!
 
was in a pretty physical public room last night and confirmed that even in speed tracks, 4WD cars will win over RWD. a special case I can think of RWD will ever trump 4WD was in sweeping tracks like maple valley or suzuka. but even there you will need a special car (has anyone built their 355 Challenge yet?) and a good amount of precise driving to pull it off. not fair =(

to all who wonders, the room wasn't a competition of driving people off the track, just a lot of light bumps as similar skilled people running a few speed tracks. i was on a rwd cayman, and after that, i switched it to 4wd and couldn't be more impressed...
 
I'm curious too. I've been spending a lot of money on cars for the career mode... just upgraded a Dodge Viper ACR to R3 class with a stock car engine and AWD.

Does it seem as though AWD is basically "cheat mode" though? It was always better for launching in Forza 1 and 2, but in 3 it seems that AWD cars are better in most other ways as well, even handling (once you learn how to handle one on a smaller track). I think AWDs are just underrated by the performance index.
 
i think it was suppose to be hopeless since loth took his place last week. let me see if he gets my msg...

yeah i think AWD's just handed to RWD with it's consistency and uphill grip. RWD's turn in is quicker, but AWD exits corner much easier, and you almost don't have to match rev in hard breaking so the oops moments are easier to recover too.

astro, i read that the 4wd ACR owns S class too. probably in a similar was how the ford GT owns A class. to certain degree i agree that it is a "cheat mode", because you have to build and tune your car very well in RWD in order to be competitive, but you can take a 4wd that wasn't built well and it will be a no-brainer to drive and still come out half decent.

Yeah...still, I wanted the VIP cars and I'll sell the rest of the LCE which will pay for both Forza 3 and MW2, so I guess I can't complain 🙂

Executive decision, whoever's choice it was after hopeless pick a car and we'll race it Wednesday. I would say who it was but OSJ cut off 1/2 his OP including the car pick choice.

I could bring up the old schedule in bing cache, i guess bing's slowness in refreshing it's cache helped in this case =)

btw my A class car building has been much success after i looked at the replays at the leaderboard as well as saw a few unconventional cars in public games.

I say we do a quick pick. Someone, quick... pick! Whatever it is, I'll be upgrading/downgrading my mini-cooper to that level and whooping you gu.... errr... losing badly again.
 
i've been building A class leaderboard cars all weekend so that's a thought. or we can do RWD of any class because i really miss them.
 
Well then decide what we're racing...

Not sure I'll be able to make it as it is but I'll certainly try...if you can tear me away from MW2.
