Well then new vote

R1 or R4

R4 = 4 votes (Waldo, OSJ, GCS, Queasy)

R1 = 2 votes (AJ, Ty) -- is this right??

Everyone else vote and majority wins ... deal??

Alright I just did some races really quick with both levels of cars. My 2 cents worth is as follows ....

R4 - SOLID very very SOLID. Basically like driving a better version of the cars we have already been driving. Kind of a nice step up. Easy to handle, good speed, good brakes and overall a solid driving experience.

R1 - YIKES ... a little out of control and scary at times. If you get squirrelly at all and hit the dirt it's a b*tch to get back on the track quickly and straight. Makes it difficult to get back into a race at times. The cars are all out fun don't get me wrong but I am not sure I am quite ready for a night of R1s.

Therefore my vote goes for R4s.

That was my fear as well. R1s are hard to control, especially for casual racers.

I guess I'll throw my vote in. R4 since it is the easier to control. We do enough spinning out, bumping, and sliding around on our own. We don't need any help. ;)

Hrm, trying to sell something are we??

All I say is that the R4's are really pretty close to what we typically race, why not try something different for a change. I find that racing the R1's has made me a better driver with all the classes...

I'll vote for R1, but only because I've gotten so used to crazy speeds on my new motorcycle that I think I'll be competitive.

If I knew where you lived I'd come trip you while you were trying to dance, then I'd make a pass at your fiancee (but my new wife would kick my butt).

Ya jerk! :p

Hey man! Where have you been?

Just been a bit too busy to get my cars together, and instead of scrambling to get it done at the last minute, I've just been deciding to sit out and let some of the new guys race without a lot of swapping out drivers (seems to me the last month or so we've had at least 8 or more show up).

I haven't quit or anything though, and have been missing crashing int...er... racing with...you guys... :D

(And of course Tyreal is correct!) :p

OOOOOOOOOOOH, so that's where you ran off to! I wondered, yeah, you even told us you were getting married. Did ya get lucky in Vegas (I'll leave that up to your own interpretation of "lucky").

We started voting last night at around...what time was it. 8?? So yeah, I'd say you've got time.

About to leave the for AMA's at Barber, I'm so stoked!! Mayhaps if you all watch the races on Speed tomorrow or Sunday (I assume they'll be on Speed) you'll see me (although with all the people there you probably won't realize it).

*edit* Why not just do one this week and one in a few weeks.

When you test your connection in the Xbox, does it report your NAT as open, strict, etc.?

Vegas was great! I hit it (somewhat) big on a slot machine of all things! So as far as getting lucky...I'd have to say yes in both senses of the word for the wife and myself! We had about 25 people fly out and I think we're all still recovering.

EDIT: Yay for R1 goodness!

No idea. I'll check it when I get home. I guess it probably should be open, yes?

Looks like the R1s have it. Sounds good.

Yea I vote, R1.

last night was the first time I ever used a R1, it was quite an experience. Even the R4's seemed unbearably slow after that.

So, can we use any R1 for next wednesday? or are we going to use one of the cars that everyone has access to?

The Ferrari seems to be the most widely used car setting all the best laps times. It is the best car, by stats alone, but I don't think it's THAT much better than the next R1 -- although, it really shines in acceleration and braking (braking is rated 10) compared to other R1 cars.

So, yes, it's the best car, most widely used car...but a ton of fun to drive.

I don't even know if you can paint it...
