No Arby means that we're one OSJ "mishap" from having a pretty open field. 😛
 
I should be there with very little practice again.

I may end up with the Viper like the rest of you but I did fiddle with a Porsche last night and like it quite a lot.

I have 1 question though -- I am running full downforce and on both the Viper and the Porsche my a$$ end tends to get away from me on turns. I realize that it is probably just my driving style/throttle control but I didn't know if there was something I could change in the tune to help me out with this a little bit.

In my experience the "R" cars are already set up well and messing with the tune tends to unbalance the car. I'd reset the tune to default and see if it evens you out.
 
Played around with tuning, as they are they're tuned very well. But some minor changes are yielding good results and it probably all depends on your style of driving and what you like.

Random question to all you racers...

The Petit LeMans is happening at Road Atlanta October 1-4. Would anyone be interesting in meeting up there Saturday and Sunday (3-4) and watching the races (although maybe not all 24 hours of it 😛). I've never been to an ALMS race, it might be alot of fun!!

Spidey: Yeah, you owe me for at least one that immediately comes to mind when I got into you at Laguna Seca during ricer week. Are there any others that you can recall? I've been pretty good in general lately.

It's not just one track. We race for 2 hours on various tracks (usually 6-9 tracks per night) plus two games of Cat and Mouse (someone with more time needs to explain it, I'm about to head out to dinner). Tiz alot of fun!

Hope I get back soon from tonight's activities! Although knowing my wife it'll be late...

Join in it's alot of fun.

The only thing about tonights race is the car has to be RWD and R4 class only. There is a list and we rotate who picks the car and with what restrictions for it every week.

Like kabob said, we have run quite a few races on different tracks with the car of the week.

Cat and mouse is alot of fun as well. Normally as long as we have an even number of people, everone partners up into teams of 2. First race one person on each team picks a D class (mouse) the other picks a U class (cat). The mice race to win, the cats try to protect their partner mouse and attack the other mice. Second race is the same partners, just switch car class to the other.
 
Essentially the the cats wreck the sh*t out of each other and the all the mice.

It's a nice break in the racing action and in C&M it really makes no difference how good of driver you are.

Spidey, since you're going to be gone next week, did you still want to pick a car or should we move the schedule up and let Hopeless choose? Once you become available again you can butt in line.

I think Spidey was just saying he was out for the night due to his ISP troubles. I heard a mention of an S998 Lotus, as well. Is it the Elise, Spidey?
 
Sorry I missed most of the racing last night but what I made it for was alot of fun! That last round of R1's though, whew!!

Lemme know what next week's car is. Heck, I can just modify my old A850 Lotus that I used in my first ever game with you all.
 
Yep I enjoyed R4 night myself. I really liked the Porsche I was using but as each race went on the car got more difficult to drive. The blue Viper did not have this problem.

Hopefully I didn't wreck anyone too bad this week (unlike the Saturn last week ... yikes!!).

Looking forward to Lotus week next week as I enjoyed the first one we had.
