Rules Update - 2/17/2009

After careful consideration I would like to add Qualifying to our Series.

Each Sunday of race week at 9PM EST we will hold Qualifying for the that week's track. It will be your fastest lap of 3 on the track of the week. This will then determine your starting position in the race for that week. Each racer will have the track to themselves such that no one can interfere with you during qualifying.

If you CANNOT make it on Sunday to Qualify simply "team up" with another racer in the series to have them "witness" your fast lap and report it to me via PM on the forums or on XBLIVE.

Any questions just ask.

I will update the main post to reflect this as well.

I'm saying it for my safety, I think my wife will kill me if I'm racing another night every other week. I know she'd have been good with Friday, maybe Thursday, but Tuesdays are usually a night we do stuff.

Understood but as I said before it may not always be on Tuesdays. Tuesdays are Waldo's best day but we may have to move the race night around once and while.

Max participation is very important to me in the series as this won't be much fun if only 4 of us are in it!

IMORTANT UPDATE AND QUESTIONS!!!!


Guys I need more input on the car choice. I am getting the vibe that many (if not all) of you are unhappy with the car selection.

I need no holds barred discussion on this topic since we are running out of time. Don't tip toe around the subject tell me what you guys want!! I would hate for you guys to dislike the series or DROP OUT just because of the selection.

Are we to keep this selection or do guys want something else?

What do you want to drive?

Yeah, but I don't want 6 people moving everything around to accommodate me. Tuesday is probably my worst night as it is, well, Monday/Tuesday. I'm sure I'll be able to race once in a while but every race is hoping for too much.

In response to your "what cars do you want" question, I'm fine with whatever. If everyone hates using GT cars though switch it up. I'll throw my suggestions out there, although I'm perfectly fine with GT's.

I'm quite fond of my car(s) at the moment. To completely change the car list would be a mistake, I know myself and others have spent many many hours and hard earned credits to buy and tune many of the cars on the current list. I say to move forward with what we have; the racing is still going to be exciting no matter what we drive, as long as we are all competitive we will have fun no matter what we're driving.

Stick with what we have. There is no reason to change the cars. Really, there are cars for pretty much everyone on the list except the front-wheel zealots which I believe is mainly myself. The reason people are disliking them because there is a good balance and also one cannot simply toss on all the bells/whistles to race. If people were not complaining then that means their too happy with their cars!

2. I just found out I work every Wednesday night starting in March - my tuesdays i haven't figured out yet
3. Proposal for tonight: allow the option to run either the WRX or an A800 enduro car - the wrx is 791 as it is and this will allow anyone who wants to shake down their enduro car to do so - it's just a no points learning race anway right?

I'm fine with running either the enduro car or the Subaru from tomorrow. I haven't spent a huge amount of time with my enduro ride yet so if other folks are going to run theirs, I might run mine to see how it's developing.

Well I definitely enjoyed last nights test run. I hated the car we were in but that's another matter. Managed to only get lapped by Arby and that was it. Blew it on the last turn of the last lap and got careless and thus handed third over to hopeless.

I look forward to next week's official first race. Still not 100% certain what car I will use.

Quik - please send back the jaguar and the supra when you get a chance as they were my other 2 finalists.

After running last night I'd be interested. I was going to throw my name out as a sub for others. Looking at the tracks in the OP just a reminder that I don't have the DLC track though.

I finally got my $10 reward zone cert from best buy and was going to use it to get the full forza edition, but now they don't have it in stock.
