Kind of my concern and it's why I am rethinking the idea of S900.

Gee whiz people I already spent a ton of credits prepping 6 cars @ S900. I didn;t use the powertrain swap in the Infinity, but I did in the sister car Skyline 350GT and i agree that it needs to go. With the right tune to correct oversteer that thing was a rocket.

Methinks everyone is drastically overthinking this. I'm with Waldo, at this rate just go R4's if we want a do everything car. S900 isn't too bad, although if you keep losing you're at S930 which is getting kind of high.

Really I'm fine with whatever. I say add the Ferraris back, remove the G35, pick a PI and we all be happy!

Fine the PI is A800. This forces you to pick a direction (speed vs. handling). Naturally on bigger open tracks you may want speed instead of handling. This adds more of a challenge which is what we are looking for, right?

Also I feel that the discrepancy between an A770 car and an A820 will not be huge but give the A820 driver a nice little boost.

Ferraris -- they are back .. I won't drive one but if you guys want them you can have them.

Executive Decision and stats are now final ... no more changes.

Sorry for the trouble.

Woah! Knocked back to A800? That's a huge change, I tuned 2 cars to S900 and sorta liked 'em. But honestly I think I'll end up liking this a lil' more. Gonna be tough for some of the cars to be "fully" upgraded, hopefully it'll still be balanced.

I'm all for the assertive "executive decisions!"

Well I figured it was the only way to keep this the challenge we were looking for and yeah I figured it was time to lay the smack down with a ED (no not that ED!!)

Heh, I just made an A800 CTS-V...full weight reduction is almost 150 PI points (and it still weighs over 2800 lbs!), I got wide wheels, sport tires, full aero, and a calculator tune.

It's like ice skating, traction is nearly non-existant. Methinks moving to race tires and losing some width would help it tremendously.

The good news is that parts are pretty cheap for the Caddy.

Good deal...

Also for tire indicators, it will only show up when your tires are COMPLETELY screwed. The people using steering-wheels will have to figure out how to pull up the diagram that shows damage. For controller users it is the left shoulder button by default. Also the telemetry will work but thats more of a pain while focusing on the track so hard.

A800 -- No other restrictions at all except the PI adjustments based on where you place in the race each week

I will trade my Aston Martin DB9($123,000) which is @ S900 w/addtional included upgrades to take it well into U class for a comparable credit amount from the list of cars above. With the starting PI @ A800 now I need to try every car since I can't prop up my lousy driving skills with parts.

anyone care to post some times, just to compare?

I have 2 cars, both hitting consistent 1:27:XX on road atlanta, still not sure which one I'm going to choose.

1:24.9 on RA in the car I am most likely using.

All other cars are within about 2 seconds of that except the Ferraris which are just too unruly for my driving style. I am fairly certain several of the cars I built (built them all BTW) will match the 1:24 or better on RA.

Have not tested elsewhere.

All my cars(that I've tried so far) seem to have lost about 5 secs w/the PI decrease @ Road Atlanta:

Aston Martin DB9 1:29.769 157mph backstretch
BMW M3 E46 1:29.385 150mph
Audi S4 V8 1:28.786 147mph (Hopeless was testing for me in S900 trim @ 1:22/1:23)
Audi S5 1:28.756 150mph
Audi RS4 1:27.703 154mph

I know I am the least skilled driver in the group so I don't feel like I'm giving away state secrets here, but if somebody has the magic bullet, please put me out of my misery. This is getting really frustrating. If you don't want it public PM me. Until then I'll keep spending money...

If you can get the build right sport tires aren't a bad thing.

I gave up on the CTS-V last night, I might revisit it.
