Forums are extremely slow

If I open ~5 tabs, often it takes one 3-5 mins to load, the others just fail. I then have to refresh for about 10 mins to get them going.

A site this size has to be running pools of servers. Maybe we need diagnostics to see which server you guys are landing on. I suspect it may be one of the servers in the pool that is the issue.

Possible. Sometimes if it gets really bad, I log out, close all browsers then log back in it helps. But not always.
 
yes this random issue apparently will never be fixed. the forums have been painfully slow at times for the last few days.
 
It took me a few minutes to post this. Early morning hours EST are usually ok but there are many times throughout the week I just give up.
 
Always been pretty quick for me, but some stuff hasn't worked for months, and apparently never will. I guess it's a trade off, fast broken forums, or slow working forums.
 
Slow for me, both at work and here at home. It typically takes about 5-10 seconds for a page to appear. Don't have this problem with any other site. I have a FIOS connection if that makes any difference.
 
Oddly, except for one ad that hung up a couple of times, in the past several months, I've yet to experience this slow loading problem. I generally load a dozen or so tabs in a matter of seconds, and all of them load as quickly as other sites. I'm on here about as frequently as anyone else - so I'm curious as to where the problem exists - is it with the ISPs? Or some major hub that the site goes through to get to certain posters?

its randomly slow for me for weeks now. thats at home on my desktop, using 4g on my tablet and using wifi at various locations.

I am only seeing it load ridiculously slow when at home. I found it is actually loading dramatically faster right now on my cell phone which is barely connected since I'm in the basement than it is on my 35Mbps FIOS. Traceroute shows FIOS is reaching the forums through cogent.... so maybe FIOS's wonderful spiteful Netflix crapification is hitting this forum as well?

I'm always logged in so I've never noticed it before, but I'm experiencing this same thing. While logged out, the forums load in seconds; while logged in, it can take nearly a minute for a forum to load. Individual threads don't seem to be a problem either, just the listing of threads.
 
45+ seconds to enter this thread (clearing the page)
45 more seconds to display the above 50 posts.

Settings at 100 posts/page.

Not worth the time at this point to browse.
 
Getting random slowdowns while loading the forums. Actual threads seem to be ok. I did a traceroute, and although I have 15 hops, none was pinging higher than 55 ms.
