That does work, but if do the search at the top under Search Category search box the messages are all out of order. It didn't always do that....

Really difficult to find anything recent. This isn't a recent thing, either. Been happening for quite a while now.

Any chance of restoring the search option to display results as messages instead of as thread titles? (I don't remember exactly what the option was called.) It made it much easier to find specific posts when searching on a fairly common or non-specific string.

I cant find it if i type "apple", "powerbook" or pretty much anything in the search box. The only way I can find it is using advanced search and searching by my username.
