I think that, for example, they put some grooves in the slicks in a manner designed to lower grip (in an effort to keep speeds "reasonable").Originally posted by: alexruiz
I love it.... the leading edge in racing engineering and driver skills is formula 1. However, I am surprised as I expected Juan Pablo and Kimi to fight for the title this season...... but it didn't happen. Well, maybe next year.

I've been watching since the mid to early 90s, and in my opinion it's just been a steady decline in quality since then. And by quality, I mean how the entire organization is run right up to the competition.
It's only going to get better once these new rules kick in, in a couple years.
Now, if you guys want to watch REAL racing, you'll hop on the MotoGP bandwagon where the rest of have been all our lives. Rossi is good, but his competition is so much better in comparison to Schumacher's, that at least it's entertaining. Very entertaining in fact.

I think Schumacher could take Senna. Sure Senna was the more fun to watch, but Schumacher's machine like ability to pull fast lap after fast lap would win out.
I love Speed channel. They show F1 decade and cover practice, qualifying, and the race.
That last French Grand Prix was fairly exciting. Schumacher taking 4 pitstops and winning and then the battle for 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Barrichelo's pass at the end was awesome.

Witness the USGP at Indy a few weeks back (I attended). Reubens was clearly faster, was blocked by Schumacher on a pass attempt after a pit stop, then (presumably) got the call from Jean Todt not to rock the boat. If Barrichello were allowed to race, Schumacher may not hold the records he does.

I suppose you heard this 'so-called not to rock the boat' call from Jean Todt over the radio...
You cant deny the team orders behind the team... but to say the Michael would not be where he is now if Rubens were allowed to race him is crap.
I guess everyone only remembers this year and forgets about how crappy the Ferraris were when Michael got on board... I suppose his days at Benetton were also flukes eh?
Im sick of this crap how Michael this Michael that... the man is a great driver even before he went to Ferrari... but I guess him just dominating the way he is now just makes people hate him more. Go figure.
