I do think there’s very noticible differences in the coverage of Barry vs Trump and the former was given passes on things that the latter wouldn’t be (it’d just get drowned in the noise anywhom), but the frothing at the mouth anti-media paranoia on the right is not only incredibly annoying but potentially threatening to one of the pillars of our democracy.
I would say if anything the coverage of Trump has been far, far too lenient. If you actually look at the scale of corruption and incompetence we're talking about here it's obvious to any unbiased observer that Trump is constantly given passes on what would be huge scandals in any other administration simply because the sheer amount of scandal and corruption is too great to focus on them.
I really find it strange that anyone would try and claim that the media is biased against Trump and do so with a straight face.
1) This is the guy who spent $20 million to settle a lawsuit that he defrauded (ie: stole money from) thousands of people. THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE.
2) This is the guy who said on national television that he fired the head of the FBI for investigating his associates.
3) This is the guy who currently owns a hotel down the street from the White House where foreign governments routinely put cash in his pocket. (ie: bribe him)
4) He appears to have bribed the Manhattan DA to not prosecute several of his children for fraud.
5) He appears to have stolen thousands of dollars from his charity to pay off his personal legal bills.
6) I could go on, and on, and on.
If Obama had engaged in even a single one of those things it would have been a national scandal, probably causing his impeachment and yet we barely even talk about them anymore. No president has had an easier time from the media as compared to what they SHOULD have gotten than Trump. None.
