You win? I'm not sure what you're after here. Did you follow the interaction between HR and myself? I suggest you re-read.
Did you read my response? I suggest you re read it

Did you read my response? I suggest you re read it![]()
I'm curious. Do you act this way when speaking to people face to face?
Nope, in public people tend to keep their stupidity well hidden, so I don't have to be a jerk![]()
Nope. Being a jerk is a choice. Not an involuntary act.
Reading isn't your thing is it?
You stated you had to be a jerk to those who "show their stupidity" right? Just pointing out you have a choice. I get that you don't like that as it doesn't leave you room for an excuse.
Yes and my choice, as evident in this thread, is to be a jerk.
Now do you want to continue this conversation or perhaps you would like to take your own advice and address the OP's post or have you now figured out how his post was garbage as was the story he quoted?
Not a good choice but you already know that.
This was answered in my response to HR which is why I asked you to re-read it. I made no attempt to legitimize or discredit the claims made in the OP. Merely mentioned what the definition of an ad hominem was and left it at that. I have no opinion wrt the OP that I would like to share.
The middle east before bush was the most pro-usa region in the world. Then bush pissed them off.
Actually it means you have no argument to the contrary and are attempting to divert the topic.
Nonsense.
It means what is and can be asserted without evidence can and will be dismissed.
If I say "Obama is a Reptilian shape-shifter from Zeta Reticuli", and someone calls me a fool, it is not incumbent on them to have a counter argument ready for my nonsense assertion. Period. End of story.
If real facts and true evidence is used to support those claims, then yes, an appropriate counterargument is deserved.
When completely unsubstantiated nonsense is thrown out, and people summarily dismiss it while mocking those who perpetuate it, then too bad.
Crying about someone's tone, especially on an internet forum, is just childishly silly.
Its another kooky thread day in P&N.
I'm glad I know sarcasm. Otherwise, how can one account for the statement above?
