all their trucks and suvs are too big and bulky, and akward looking....and all fords break down a lot 😀

<puts on flame suit>

yes, this has been discussed many times. maybe if you email Ford directly, they'll make their cars and trucks the way you want them.

I know alot of people that have had zero problems with their Ford F-150s - F350s. They are nice trucks. Sorry but the Dodge trucks are just to ugly. Chevy and Ford have the best trucks. SUVs on the other hand, all suck, no matter what company makes them.

Nope doesnt work I have tried it. 😀

they are cooling, thats what the ticking is.

the ranger isn't exactly huge, thought its not a tiny piece of sh!t like the s10. those are isuzus anyway. and the escape doesn't exactly tower over the road. not to mention that an explorer is shorter and narrower than my taurus, which isn't a large car. and my car is going strong at 116,000 and 10 years.

Nice truck PCAddict 😀

First off, akward is spelled awkward. Second, you want to judge all their trucks and SUV's based off the Excursion? I'm sure 18 wheelers must be monsters to you. And like stated, most of their trucks are midrange between their Chevy & Dodge counterparts - Explorer larger than Blazer but smaller than Durango. Expedition larger than Tahoe/Yukon but smaller than Suburban. Ranger larger than S10 but smaller than Dakota. F150 larger than Silverado (based off width) but smaller than the RAM. Shall I go on or are you done spewing your biased Chevy nonsense towards the rest of us?

Even as a loyal Ford enthusiast I will agree that most of Ford's cars leave a lot to be desired. The Taurus is a good, solid American car. The big cars like the Lincolns and the Crown Vic's are nice too. But, their small car line is a bunch of crap with the exception of the Contour SVT.

Thanks, RagingBITCH. 🙂

I really don't want to get banned. But that is bullsh!t.

No it isn't. I work at one of the top 3 Ford dealers in the country and I can assure you the cars are crap. Not only that, the trucks are too. Not so much the F-series, but the smaller ones, Exploders, Rangers, Escapes.
I'd hate to see if any other manufacturer has more recalls than Ford.

Ford did ruin the Ranger in '98 with the torsion-bar front suspension and the notorious marble-sound in the 4.0's due to the piston skirt redesign. I am glad I have a '97.

Millenium Seeing you maintain composure is fun to watch 😛

I think when people say their cars suck its quality-wise - and they do compared to many other manufacturers. The reason you like your mustang so much is because for the same price its impossible (unless you go with another domestic muscle car) to get so much power as a mustang. If I was to buy a Ford it would either be a big truck (which of course I never will need), or a Mustang. For $20-25k a person gets an awful lot of power at the lights!

Ford cars do have an unbelievable amount of recalls. The Focus had 3 before it ever got to dealers. Now it's up to 6 total. The Escape, based on the Focus, is also up to 6 I think. Ford issued at least 2 emergency stop sales on the Escape. And these recalls are some big potential problems: rear wheels can fall off, sticking cruise, steering wheel may fall off, etc. These aren't recalls for small and minor issues. Quality is NOT job 1 anymore.
