Ford was playing it safe? I thought they were playing it poorly engineered. Had me fooled, they did.

Looks like a Camry/Cadillac combo.
I was thinking a current generation camry with a dated Honda prelude front end, and dated accord rear end.

Meh... 5/10. If you're hell bent on buying an Amercian badge, despite it being built in Mexico, then I guess this is for you.
Camry? Accord rear end?

This is why I only bother listening to a handful of folks on this forum for any advice or opinions auto-related.

This is so lame. This is their "bold" design in the US, but Europe gets the iosis :|

I like it, but I don't think it's really 'daring' its a base design, that's what ford does best, simple elligance with slight accents. But that's my thing, most people would probably like a little more edge to a foriegn competitor.

Calm down, the Iosis is just a concept vehicle. If it were ever to go into production, it would be watered down significantly.

What's wrong with what he said? The rear end DEFINITELY looks like the rear of early-90s Accords, no doubt. Just with a little more bling.

1994 Honda Accord
2006 Ford Fusion or photo #2

While these two engines are shared with Mazda, they're actually both built in North America. The four comes from Ford's engine plant in Chihuahua, Mexico

doesn't matter where, or who makes the car. Smart people will buy the most reliable, best bang for the buck, high resale (and nowadays cars with good mileage). Ford just isn't that. Look at hyundai, never thought I've take a look at those but somehow they've transformed things and I'll definitely be looking at a hyundai in the future

Ahh you're right, now I know what I was thinking they're similar to, not an Accord but the tailights of a Prelude.

Heck, even some of the Hyundais are made in the USA now. They just opened up a huge plant in Alabama. This Ford, on the other hand, is made in Mexico. Go figure.
