The ford emblem does suck. Its a superficial thing, but it does look cheap and unrefined. But thats really the least of their problems.

what a haggard beast! they deserve their failure, complete lack of skills and consumer insight. not to mention artistry.

I really like this car inside and out.

Here's a  for all the American automobile manufacturers that are trying to turn themselves around by putting out great products at reasonable prices.

Maybe they should stop and Crysler can give Ford back the assembly line at the same time.

Do they actually think the reason imports are doing better is just the way they look?
Friggin idiots.

It looks ok, but hopefully the mechanicals aren't as poor as when the Focus was released in 2000. I bought a Focus back then and it's had 11 recalls and acts possessed sometimes, with the instruments going everywhere.

Ford has a bolder idea to fight imports: Fusion
...

In a series of market tests earlier this year, Ford parked Fusions -- stripped of their blue-oval badges -- at busy areas in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York and drew an interesting response: People liked the car but were surprised to learn who built it.

At the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, more than 200 people looked at the car "and not one guessed it was a Ford," said Steve Lyons, Ford division president.

...

I have no idea why they still slap the Ford badge on cars. We know by now it's synonymous with crap. As a logo it's way oudated, not "classic". They badly need a new logo. If I were stuck with a Ford I would debadge it.

i dont care as long as

a) they do innvoate and take steps in new directions

b)they dont pull any azteks, tribecas, or any other disgrace to the entire industry 😀

So they went from boring ford to boring wanna be audi?
It will take one hell of a machine for me to ever consider spending a dime on a ford again.

It didn't save oldsmobile, and it won't save ford.

the idea of an assembly line goes back WAY further than Henry Ford. But I will give him credit for bringing it into the auto industry. That and the Mustang are about the only two original ideas to come from Ford.

Looks like a Camry/Cadillac combo.

I was thinking a current generation camry with a dated Honda prelude front end, and dated accord rear end.

Meh... 5/10. If you're hell bent on buying an Amercian badge, despite it being built in Mexico, then I guess this is for you.
