After my teeth went through my lip when the airbag didn't go off, I won't trust them again. (I drive a Toyota Camry now).

That must have hurt. What a way to become biased eh?

Actually, it wasn't that bad at the time. When I couldn't eat for 3 days, because I was chewing on my lip (it basically popped on the inside), that sucked. Nothing like experience. I do miss driving a truck though. But not enough to go through that again.

I don't think getting smacked in the face by an rapidly expanding airbag would have helped your situation at all, and probably would have made it worse. Airbag is there to stop you from smacking your head on the steering wheel, not to keep you from biting through your lip. That's why they are set to go off ony in certain severity crash, because airbag can cause more injury than a low speed crash.

Actually, it would have. Because my face hit the steering wheel. My bottom teeth went through my bottom lip, both going through and literally popping the inside of my bottom lip. Also, the places where my lips attach was ripped some as well, and I had severe bruises where my top teeth hit my upper lip on the inside. So yea, I think it would have helped.

While wearing a seatbelt?

Yes. Not wearing a seat belt is just dumb...

better than gm i guess. but mots trusted is a big ass lie lol:)

the mustang is kewl. but its too bad they didn't come out with a crazy hybrid mustang. that would be the sh*t.

and don't say it can't be done, toyota is going crazy with the hybrids. the gs and stuff, luxury+eco+power. heh, even the camry hybrid pwns. 0-60 in 7.3 seconds, thats not exactly much of an eco sacrifice. in a lineup this month in road and track it just pwns the others, like the civic with much higher accel/top speed. yea a couple k more in price, but u get a whole lot more car. the mustang is so popular it probably could support a hybrid version just so hollywood types could drive something less sissified than a prius;)

anyways either motor trend or road and track..i forget...did a comparo between regular/hybrid versions of the new civic/prius/camry/and the ford mini svu whatever its called. pretty interesting. its not avaliable online though. but goddamned, it shows how far the american car makers have to go to catch up with the japanese:p just look at the new camry, it doesn't look like ass anymore. http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=6&article_id=3369 the ford 500 taurus replacement just looks like @ss.

I believe it. Every Ford I've had runs forever.

I have a 2000 F350 with alomst 170,000 miles and never been into shop. I may have to wreck it before I get a new one. I have a 2002 Towncar with 80000 miles and I only replaced the fuel filter and shock mount because I ran over a boulder and puctured hole in the OEM filter.

My 78 F-350 is still out at my parents running strong...has 250,000 miles..but it only gets 6 MPG so it's only used as a beater.

GM products I've had lots of problems with but not Ford. And Toyota could'nt handle my abuse..Ate a brand new 4-runner within 21000 miles. Three broken A-arms, burnt tranny, broken drive shaft etc etc but I'm sure it's a reliable car if you don't take it off roading at 100MPH or try and put two pallets of concrete in the back.
