Ford Lightning Speed?

Dodge had better have their victory party for the Ram SRT quick because the new "L" will quickly crash it.

The 03 L runs a 0-60 in 5.2, the same time the RAM SRT runs. All for about $17,000 less.

In my latest car and driver, they were getting sub 5 runs in the SRT.

There are some specs here, though they are no doubt just speculation, and based on the handsome concept version of the 2005 Lightning. They claim 500 bhp, 500 lb/ft.

Edit: Yow!!!
saw one at the sd auto show. gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.

That was a fvcked up test drive though I think - I was the one who posted the specs from Motor Trend and the specs from MT from a 03 L. C&D and a few other mags are getting sub 5's for 0-60 and low 13's for 1/4. (Have yet to see one where the SRT10 breaks 12's though) I would still take a L in a heartbeat anyday over a SRT10. $1500 in bolt ons and I've got the SRT10 pwn3d like a b1tch.

It wasn't you actually, several websites quoted the 5.2 0-60 and I just assumed that was it.
