No offense, but I respect NFS4's opinion on car's a lot more than you. I think him and notfred are some of the most knowledgable people on this forum about cars.
Well, I *respected* his opinion on cars as well, but in a topic like this, where non of us have the chance to test any of the mentioned cars, I don't think anybody's knowledge means anything over another's. Either way, what I am annoyed by is people just start calling you a retard/dumbass the same moment you disagree with them.

No, it's not that we disagree with you. It's the fact that you are saying it sucks just because it is a ford. Let me tell you something, I own a ford (A Mercury Marauder to be specific), and the car isn't falling apart like you mention. With my father driving my car, we have gone well over 100 mph, and the car rode smooth, while many other cars start to shake and rattle. Now, your ignorance shows when you say something sucks because of the company.

Show me where I said this car sucks because it's a Ford. I said I wouldn't buy this car because it's a Ford and it would break down sooner than most other cars eventually. Please reread all my posts. I said I wont buy it because its a ford, i wont buy it because its ugly, but never said this car sucks because it's a Ford. I infact said this car was fast.

Been here since May '03 and flaming like Richard Simmons in spandex

Nissan fanboy?? Far from it. I'm one of the biggest Nissan bashers around here (even though I did help my dad to purchase an '03 Nissan Frontier). You obviously don't know what you're yapping about as 95% of the people in this thread have told you. Calling the car crap b/c it's a Ford or bitching about the $150,000 price tag when you don't seem to even have a grasp about what the car is is just foolish. Read up on the car, read the white papers, read the comparisons (MT and Automobile have done comarisons against the Modena and Gallardo).

Cut your losses, tuck your tail between your legs and move on.

I don't see what difference does it make for me being here since May '03? Well, since I know you won't be explaining that, I, again, ask you to stfu.

Read what I said to Krazikid, and that'll explain your arguments.

And you are still an idiot for telling me to compare this car against Modena/Gallardo. The only car I compared this one to is LF Vette. For $50,000 less, I said that car would be my choice...

Either way, go with your ford

Nobody is retarded enough to compare a Ford GT to a LF Vette. The LF Vette is just a souped up $45,000 car.

The Gallardo, Modena and GT are purpose-built machines all in the 150,000 - $175,000 range.

The Modena and Gallardo are the only real competitors for the GT. Someone who is going to purchase a Modena or GT or Gallardo probably doesn't give a flying f*&k about a LF Vette. The only other vehicle they'd probably even consider would be a 911 Turbo/GT2. They buy these cars b/c they are unique and in the case of the Ford GT...a piece of history. 40 years from now, people will look back on the Ford GT and say "there goes a nice car." People will look back at the LF Vette in 40 years and say "there goes a hacked C5"

You'd never buy it because you can't afford it. This thing would hand a Lambo it's ass and try for a second helping.

*mental note, remember rbloedow as the as$.

what i wanna say is, i won't buy it because:

1. it's way too expensive for a ford.
2. it's ugly. the original forg gt looked better.
3. when things start breaking down too early, you'll again realize it's a ford and how stupid you were.

and besides, how well do you know my financial situation that you assume i can't buy it? heh..

edit: i would buy this car for 150k only if it had a warranty that was at least 5 years. 3 yrs / 36,000 miles ? Is this a joke? Bleh.

LOL....you're hilarious man...5yr warranty on a supercar...LOL

*walks away laughing*

if you are talking about uniqueness, i am sure a ferrari or a lambo comes in before a *ford* gt. either way. end of conversation.

1) What the hell does the badge on the front have anything to do with the engineering of a vehicle which ultimately decides a vehicle's cost?
2) This Ford GT looks nearly identical to the original - the main differences being the size.
3) Ferrari currently offers a two year, unlimited mile warranty on the 360 Modena. Meanwhile, most Ferrari models are notorious for reliability issues. Lambasting Ford for problems with their quality is akin to saying "Kia sucks, I'm buying a Hyundai instead!"

Not to mention, from what I've been told TIME AND TIME AGAIN, Ford V8s and better are like tanks

probably 155 or 160 on the M5. Not sure about the GT, though I am pretty sure I wouldn't wanna go over 100 mph in a Ford. Anything can break up, anytime..

So, do you get paid to act retarded or does it come naturally?

I would trust the New GT on a tight turn at 100mph....

LF vettes are nice on the track as we've all seen through the mountain of videos on the net. Add some curves and the FORD and any other supercar will destroy your precious vette.

If this car were GM, you could bash it all you want, but its not. It's a ford.

My dad has v8 fords for work a while.....we just can't kill them.

I doubt you there....but as Xiety's vette might do the same, the GT is ENGINEERED for chassis control. If I am flying around a curve, oyu better believe an AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEER took that into account when designing it.

A supercar and a POS with a turbo ARE NOT IN THE SAME LEAGUE GENTLEMEN.

even I know that....

Mine as well. My father owns a trucking a rigging company, and we have many ford utility vehicles, and personnel vehicles. We have a F-350, F-550, and an Expedition. The F-550 is diesel. All of them put well over 100k miles on in under a year, and they still run very strong.

There goes all credibility right there. Not only is winning Lemans one of the BIGGEST achievements in all of motorsports, but **FORD** and the GT40:

Swept 1-2-3 in '66
Won '67, '68 and '69

Wait, a GT and a GT-40 are not unique cars???

Winning LeMans is not significant.

Okay, as NFS4 mentioned, that dude loses all (what little) credibility.

Having gotten the chance to look at this car in person today (as well as the 575M, several Masertis, and Porsche's Turbos and GT3), I can honestly say this car is much better looking than I thought it would be. I won't argue the technical merits of the car but I can say it looks gorgeous. If someone will kindly paypal me $150,000, I would like to buy this.
