for 100k, you can get the Lingenfelter Corvette which has 3.2 sec 0-60 time and can run the 1/4 mile in 9.50 @ 145 mph, so if you punk ass vortex junkies want to go get a Ford, go get it. But let me keep my Corvette and I'll eat you and your ugly ford alive.

Hell, if I had the money I would buy it in a heartbeat...I'll take the GT over the Viper or Corvette anyday,
The only corvette I'd take over the GT is the C5-R, but it costs about $440,000. It is the same car that they use in the American LeMas Series.

Are there any cars out there that do more than 500 horsepower? THe next M5 does it, and so do a host of others. How would this compete against an M5, which may be half the cost? BTW, what will be the mph limiter on the new M5/Ford GT?

The GT is mid engined. It handles better than your Lingenfelter Corvette. I seriously doubt it would lap a real track slower than your 'vette. That means it handles better on roads too. I dunno about you, but I have alot of fun taking corners as fast as I can in my 240sx. It's a slow car, but it makes up for it with ~.9g.
Corvette's are great to and pretty easy to soup up so you get that extra horsepower. A friend owns a shop that does high performance updrades on sports cars and he said the most horsepower they did was 1200, beyond 1200 and you begin to fly !!!
No offense, but I respect NFS4's opinion on car's a lot more than you. I think him and notfred are some of the most knowledgable people on this forum about cars.

Well, I *respected* his opinion on cars as well, but in a topic like this, where non of us have the chance to test any of the mentioned cars, I don't think anybody's knowledge means anything over another's.
Either way, what I am annoyed by is people just start calling you a retard/dumbass the same moment you disagree with them.

Nissan fanboy?? Far from it. I'm one of the biggest Nissan bashers around here (even though I did help my dad to purchase an '03 Nissan Frontier). You obviously don't know what you're yapping about as 95% of the people in this thread have told you. Calling the car crap b/c it's a Ford or bitching about the $150,000 price tag when you don't seem to even have a grasp about what the car is is just foolish. Read up on the car, read the white papers, read the comparisons (MT and Automobile have done comarisons against the Modena and Gallardo).

No, it's not that we disagree with you. It's the fact that you are saying it sucks just because it is a ford. Let me tell you something, I own a ford (A Mercury Marauder to be specific), and the car isn't falling apart like you mention. With my father driving my car, we have gone well over 100 mph, and the car rode smooth, while many other cars start to shake and rattle. Now, your ignorance shows when you say something sucks because of the company.

The exhaust goes through the bumper. That's going to make difficult to add large exhaust tips, but there is a lot of room on the back for a big fin.
