While I use a Mach 3 now, I have a Norelco that I've had for several years. It's not a bad unit and it has a trimmer part that works well when I'm doing touchup work. I used my brother's Remington one time and didn't like it at all. So, even though I don't use it on a regular basis, my vote is with Norelco.

Here's what I found out on a recent CostCo B&M trip:
$79.99 Norelco ReflexAction 5842XL which appears to be a discontinued model because I can't find any pictures or specs for this shaver. CostCo SKU 388056.

$89.99 Norelco Advantage 6735XD with BONUS which includes 5 additional lotions.

I can get any of the two electric shavers for the USD prices listed above, standard USPS shipping should cost around USD $10. PM me if you are still interested.

Thanks for the update and the offer Ross, but I ended up buying a Braun Syncro a couple weeks back that was on sale at the Personal Edge.

Thanks to all of those who recommended the Syncro as it is an AWESOME shaver. :)

I have a Norelco Advantage 6705X, with the lotion. Of course he's already made his decision. :)

How much was the Braun? What's so good about it?

It was this unit here. and I ended up paying $169.99CDN for it (down from $229.99) which was a pretty good deal.

The base station automatically cleans the razor in about 5 minutes once you're finished using it, and that is what makes all the difference. A clean razor cuts better and with less irritation, which was EXACTLY why I was switching from the Mach 3. Now that a couple of weeks have gone by, I can get as close as a blade without all the irritation.

I give it a 5 out of 5.

Cool (or should I say smooth ;) ) that Braun looks nice, I can probably find it for around $120 ... if I can I think I'll buy it.

There any satisfaction warranty on these guys? I mean I'd sure be disappointed to drop $150+ on an electric and it not work worth a damn.

I have a sensitive neck, and the Norelco Quadra Action works like a champ.

The Braun and Norelco units generally come with a 30-day money back guarantee so you can try it to see if you like it. Keep in mind it takes a week or two for your beard to "adjust" to using a electric shaver.

I would also recommend a pre-shave lotion to help the shaver slide a bit better.

I have a cheapo Norelco that works ok for me. Eventually I'll get a much better Norelco. I like electric as it's so much easier than blades..no water, only takes a sec.

I picked up a braun syncro when I shaved my head and it rocks. No longer needed on the dome but its definitely the best I've ever used. I think the self cleaning option is a rip tho - I passed on that.
