Safe? I dunno, I run my 1.5v sticks at 1.86, have now for like 5 months.

Try 2000 at 1.65v, but see if you can tighten down the timings.

What did you post at? Drop the first number 1 and the third number 1, then the fourth number 2 with 1.65v.

If you can post and don't get any "anomalies" run 4 instances of memtest

http://hcidesign.com/memtest/

You have 8GB total right? Use like 1600 for each instance.

What does post mean

" what did you post at "
Power On Self Test is the screen we've known for generations that runs the quick memory test and has information that's useful... it's where we hit the Delete key to go into menus that lead to destruction of components through experimentation :D

I would :|

See if you can stabilize that, otherwise back down the timings to 12, not the best ram, but you should see some benefits with the iGPU with the additional bandwidth.

I ran a benchmark ( maxxmem, from the video you linked ) and it seems my 1866 runs better than 2000 for me

Use the memtest, run it 4 times and input 1600 for each window.

If it loops once or twice go ahead and start looking at your iGPU again.

It's not really something you need to worry about, ram doesn't run that hot it doesn't use much power and you probably have heat spreaders which are pretty much just for looks.

You have airflow over them right? I wouldn't even worry about it if you didn't.
