Yeah, that pic is really funny! But I will admit that more often than not, there really is a following train, epecially when there is a delay in service for a while and then they all get bunched up together.Originally posted by: Zim Hosein
Sadly, I know exactly what you're talking about BMdoobieW 😛
You have at least two subway systems over there. And yours is a lot faster. I hear BART does 70mph or more under the bay...Originally posted by: illusion88

Fare hikes aren't just for NYC... they are affecting the Long Island Rail Road too. My fiance forgot her "new" monthly pass this morning and was forced to buy a one-way into the city @ $8.75 :| Guess it's almost $20 for her to get back and forth today. This doesn't even include the NYC subway fare when she gets there...
Damn MTA needs to suck it.
Don't forget the weekends when there's some kind of construction that re-routes certain trains and time schedules. Sometimes you're forced to take a friggin bus to get from one train to another.Originally posted by: oboeguy
We often take the subway home after an evening downtown. The looooong wait, the lack of an express train... they make us think, "$2 for this #%^@?!?". If they're raising the fare to $2, lower the fare at night when the service sucks more than it usually sucks.

Prices will never go down, they'll just keep going up. Everything in NYC is going up. It's getting to be too expensive.
The BART system was pretty good when I used to live in that area. I used to take it to get to school and go under the bay. It was an easy way to get around.Originally posted by: rectifire
The Bay Area BART is no stranger to problems either. I've found myself wasting 45 minutes at a time while they fix "technical issues" with their trains. It's very frustrating when you have already planned your schedule. But I must say that the BART does haul A$$ when it's going under the Bay....takes less than 5 minutes.
