Best buy lol... I think I'm going to return it though and buy the Fatal1ty as much as I hate spending that kind of cash, hopefully it will be found for like 2-220

Hey, what cooling are you using? And what voltage for your 4400 ? Is TDX water?

Ok, I am going to be the devils advocate here so to speak. Unless you just fell off the turnip truck people who are "in the know" realize that the x2 provides the user with a chip that intel can't stay up with. Intel people know this, yet they are pushing for game developers to utilize the dual core. What possibly do they have in the works to go against AMD? Its a no brainer that their current lineup can't keep up with the performance of the x2. Any thoughts?

All talk no stats.......
Without stats or numbers your post is meaningless dribble!

Why would intel care? Amd is a gnat on a gorilla. I guarantee that amd's lawsuit bothers them more than their performance lead. ANd that's not much. Now why do they want dual core games? Because they want to move to dual core faster than amd and either stop making single core or only make Single core celerons (and possibly xeons, dunno about that). If they can get people convinced how great dual core is, they can still sell dell the almost-free Celerons, but hopefully most of what dell sells for them will be their $150+ dual cores. They want to convince people not to buy the procs they make a slim margin on. Amd is almost a non-issue to them.

For you that may be true, but for one who follows the threads here and at other sites, it is common knowledge that AMD holds a significant lead. It would probably be fruitless to provide you with numbers and stats, i would however suggest that you might check into it to convince yourself. Otherwise, for you, it is meaningless...

Good, hopefully it won't have the annoying and embarrassing skipping issues.

Install the X2 cpu driver.

Does nothing.

Well, that might be because you don't have an X2. Or do you, now?

He linked us a screen pick the other night...It shows a cpu_z screen with a rather GAY background image...it answered many questions for many of us....

Now that you mentioned it, I think any of the tiled wallpapers that Windows comes with is better than that!

Anyway, the article was interesting. Was it an editorial? Sounded like a rant in some way. *shrug* I dunno. I'm just raising the questions.

But he does provide some insights. I've always wanted to see what Intel's next move is. Yet often when I do see what the move is, it turns out to be horrible. Intel needs to step up now instead of trying to take the easy way out. I guess we'll see how things turn out when we see the numbers.

i dont consider it "significant" but they are leading...we often get caught up in benchmarks and other software that really doesnt show real-life comparisons...(i do admit, AMD is faster, thats why i bought it....but I would have Intel ("Monopoly" or not) if it was better....just like I used to have a Northwood (as MANY amd-fanboys now used to have as well).....they were just better....

Diablo3 better not come out or it'll ruin my life like D2 did.

The X2 cpu driver did nothing for me, I flashed my bios (dfi lanparty ultra-d) already and everything works fine.
