For all the people that got the $2 RAM from EqualFooting.com

The price for the RAM is now $39.99. Here is a direct link to the RAM. The description of the RAM now lists it as CL3, but the part number is still the same. Guess they finally figured the Nanya RAM is pretty low quality.

Now what makes the deal even better is if you used a credit card with price protection like American Express Blue. Just call your credit card company to find out how to get the difference back.

They sent me a 128 meg stick so even if I don't get the $50 refund + shipping back, I didn't get burned too badly.

EqualFooting's Price Guarantee

How do I take advantage of the price guarantee? Do I have to purchase from EqualFooting?
Yes, you must purchase from EqualFooting in order to take advantage of the price guarantee. Simply provide some form of proof to us of the product price, and we'll pay you the difference between the two prices -- plus 10% of the difference on top of that.

I went for this deal roughly five weeks ago. The deal says to expect the check in 4 to 6 weeks. Last week I sent Equalfooting e-mail asking about my check. They sent me back some e-mail basically reading their policy: 6 to 8 weeks, yada yada yada... They finished the e-mail by saying I should call them if I don't get it within the promised time frame. So I will call sometime at the end of this week.

If I don't get this deal, I got some grossly generic ram at roughly 40% more than the lowest prices available. Shipping was also steep at almost $10.

I am not going to roll over on this deal. The comments of my order specifically mentioned this rebate in great detail. Hopefully I won't have to go to the mattresses with Equalfooting, but if need be, I will...

I got my $50 rebate from equalfooting.com and I must say that contacting them over the phone was not as difficult as it is with a lot of other companies...only had to wait on hold for like 2 mins. I haven't gotten my rebate for the price of the shipping and handling, but even if I don't get that, 64MB PC133 SDRAM for 12 is still a really good deal.

I got the $50 rebate last week. It took about 4-5 weeks. Though a low quality memory, not bad for the price.

Just called equalfooting.com and they said that they'd give me back the difference on the RAM and that the rebates are backed up so just wait a bit longer. I would suggest anyone who hasn't gotten their rebates or payed the full price to call them and talk to them as they seem pretty cool about it...then again, your mileage may vary.

I got the Infineon chips too, 7.5ns. I got $50 back, but haven't gotten the shipping check. $16 isn't too bad for 64MB I guess :)

here's a real kicker. i got my $50 check even though they never sent me the items i ordered. i used a web certificate with like 3 bux left on it so i assumed thats why. but i'm surprised their rebate system was lousy enough to still send me the rebate :)

Msh111 For the pricing guarantee, that's before the rebate right? I might take advantage of that. Anyone know a place that sells the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer for cheap? Because I bought it for $75 from them, after rebate = $25... but if the price 'match' the $75, many places sell it for under that.

I just had a pretty fruitless live chat with a rep there, here are the details:

Jason: If I've answered all your questions, please click on the 'End Call' button
^ NEWEST ^

X: thank you
X: And we're so sure our marketplace gives you the best prices, we guarantee that if you find the same in-stock product for less than our price, >>>>anywhere else,<<<<<< CAVEAT PHRASE<<< we'll pay you the difference between the two prices -- plus 10% of the difference on top of that when you buy that item through EqualFooting. That's our 110% guarantee.*
Jason: Do you have any specific question that I can address?
Jason: I apologize.
X: somehow, it doesn't seem right
Jason: Do you have any other questions that I can answer for you?
Jason: yes
X: so, what you are saying is, if it is something that someone sells through you, there is no price guarantee?
Jason: at that time.
Jason: We give 110% price guarantee only for the in-stock items found anywhere else.
X: ok, thank you, I read that earlier, that is why I am contacting you for the guarantee, since I paid $49.99 and now it is $39.99
Jason: [Item sent - EqualFooting(TM)-110% Price Guarantee]
Jason: X, I am sending a page containing details about 110% price guarantee
X: my first message gave you the item number
X: it is presently in my cart, it's a company that sells through you, it can be researched right now, by what is in my cart to buy, and my previous order history
Jason: X, please email us the link, we will refund the difference of the amount plus 10% of the difference in about 4-6 weeks.
X: thanks
Jason: Welcome to the customer service area of our web site. I have read your question and I am researching it now.
[Jason - A representative has joined the session.]
Thank you for your inquiry. An EqualFooting advisor will be with you shortly.
X: I just found memory I bought and received first part of November for $10. less? How does your price guarantee work? Item # is M18E64S88

Okay... called them up and told them I found the Intellimouse Explorer over at Powerstartpc.com for $43. He forwarded the information to another department and said that I should get the check in 30 days. So if the $50 rebate and this price guarantee comes through, I make $4.69 off this deal... Thanks for the heads up.

They said that they only honor the pricematch for 2 weeks, but instead they would send me 9.50 for the shipping, so I can't complain. $2 for great infinion ram is really pretty dynamite. My machine loves having more memory.

I finally got the $50 check from Equalfooting. Took almost six weeks. Like many other people have complained, they issued the check to my place of business (WSLCB.) Luckily below this it has my whole name and address. I am just going to endorse the sucker with WSLCB and my name. Then I will deposit at an ATM along with another rebate. Since the rebate has my whole address and name on it, I think it will go through without problem.

Mike

PS -- this ended up being a very good deal. I decided 64MB of SDRAM for $11.49 is good enough. I am not going to ask for refund of shipping.

You are all going to hate me for this :)

I ordered the ram and after an hour of thinking I cancelled the order. I checked my Visa to make sure they didnt charge me and it was all good. Three weeks have now passed and I got a snail mail letter from Equalfooting. Thinking it was some AD i just put it aside. Later I decided to look and see if there were any good deals. Unfortunately there were no good ads BUT there was a $50 check from. For the merchandise I did not pay for!

I THINK THIS IS THE HOTTEST DEAL EVER!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTT!

Well, I had an excellent expereicne with Equalfooting. I got in on the $2 RAM deal after about 200 other people had, and they still let it go through. Then, when I heard that this RAM was really CAS3 and not making it to 133MHz all the time, I called a CSR and cancelled my order. About 2 weeks later my $50 check showed up. I am debating whether I should deposit it or not. My order WAS canceleld and my CC was never billed. Is this is a gift from God, or trouble waiting to happen?
