I guess this is a "My desktop can beat up your desktop thread."

BTW, with WindowBlinds (Panther theme) and ObjectDock, it should be easy to duplicate your desktop.

I don't get the point of this thread.

Your wallpaper is shit, by the way. That would be like all of the XP community using the teletubbie bliss wallpaper (or the stock XP wallpaper, which would be more of a match for the Mac OS X stock wallpaper) all the time. Nobody does it. Why on earth do Mac people do it.

Your desktop and that screenshot are not particularly special. They're not special at all.

Duplicate Apple's cludgy interface? Why?

Simply to match the OP's desktop. If jalaram thought it was a good idea, he'd already be doing it. He was simply saying it wouldn't be hard to do.

Then change them. The ability to have resizable icons is part of the design spec, and everything will comply.

nice, but you could make a pc look like that too

Which is good in theory but confusing if you actually use a Mac. I had mine looking like OSX for about a week before I ended up having to change it.

yeah i've fooled around with that too, but always end up going back to the xp look after a day or two.

You're like 0/2 now.
Yes I know you can shrink the bar down very small.
I still have no need for overpriced, underpowered computers,.
You're right SampSon. Dual 2 GHz G5 processors and 2.25 gigs of ram just doesn't cut it these days.

For 2x-3x the cost of a comparable pc. Thanks, but no thanks.

Well, for 5 figures it definitely doesn't cut it (that's what a loaded G5 cost last I checked)

Since this thread is all about who has the bigger penis....

Now tell me how much that ran you and I'll tell you what it can buy in an x-86 PC. ;)

You can't start dumb threads about your $5,000 dollar Mac until you explain why you are still trying to get child support from your dad when you have grandchildren
