I am well aware of the current (and honestly gross) prices for a mac of my specifications, whicih explains why I didn't get one a long time ago. Like I said - I received a good deal though a client, DJ I Emerge, who can get me deals on items at a certain percentage above cost.

uh-huh...the CHEAPEST dual 2GHz G5 machine with 2GB RAM from Apple is $2820, and that's with NO warranty, the cheapest drives, no wireless, no monitor...

While you were in highschool taking notes, doing homework, getting b!tched at by teachers and probably being bullied in the locker room... I wasn't doing homework, I was producing for independant musicians, doing hired design projects, freelance illustration work and other creative jobs that would get my career off the ground before everyone else my age. Since I was 15 I've been getting horrible grades because I put all of my energy and time into my work. It's possible, believe me. I had to sacrifice my grades for what really mattered, and it paid off.
