food ideas

I need some simple ideas for what to pack for lunch, and what to make for dinner.

Right now i've been trying to eat around 6 small meals throughout the day, and so far i'ts been turkey sandwiches (45 calorie whole wheat bread, light mayo, lettuce) , lowfat cottage cheese, baby carrots, grapes, dannon activia light yogurt.

What are some of the things you guys pack? My co-workers like to go to lunch alot, and there is a Wendys across the street. It seems the Wendys chili doesnt look too bad (high protein, low fat, high fiber) nor the side saland w/ low fat ranch.

I'm basically looking for convenient ideas to pack that don't require alot of preparation. I'm also looking for simple dinner ideas that are easy to prepare and don't require a whole lot of preparation and ingredients - my wife isn't on the wagon with what i'm doing but she would like to eat healthier.

Wendy's also allows you for the yogurt side instead of fries. They give you tasty granola too (but you can skip that 😉 )

Don't forget peanut butter and tuna 🙂 Also easy to pack. Maybe nuts and beans too. Edamames are good for a snack.

I try to cook my meals ahead of time for what I bring to work, leftovers are easy to pack. Make a roast sunday night and bring in the leftovers. Throw a few extra chicken breasts on the grill when making dinner. Natty PB, cottage cheese, tuna, sweet potatoes, eggs, oats, chicken, lean meats all make good food choices.
