A toxic chemical waste products that are put into our drinking water, tooth paste and numberous other products.
Since it is only fatal at high dosage, no one is going to notice but its effect on our health and mental being is disasterous.

Wow, once again the conspiracy-theory police are in town. It clearly states on any tooth paste tube that you shouldn't swallow it. Oh well, you're going to go on some random tirade spouting pseudo-science to support your ridiculous positions regardless of what anyone says, so go right ahead.

You do realize that nearly every Water Municipality in the U.S. Fluoridates it's water???

No city in Oregon has flouridated water. My dentist appreciates my business.

You do realize that this is another conspiracy theory that science doesn't support, right? After all, you're the poster-child for anti-scare tactics and the biggest proponent of science on these boards, right? Or are you just a hypocrite?

And we're the only country in the world that flouridates, kind of like we're the only nation to circumcize for non-religious reasons. We're a nation of Jesus and bad science.

Relax everyone. Of course it's a problem in high doses, but in lower concentrations it does prevent tooth decay by making the tooth matrix more resistant to bacterial attack. A great many things are toxic in high amounts, but harmless otherwise.

Even so, why should flouride be in everyone's water? You say it strengthens the tooth, so, is it a medicine? Low-dose aspirin has been shown to reduce the risks of heart attack. Why not put that in the water too?

Is it appropriate to medicate the masses or should they be given a choice in the matter?

I believe that the World Health Organization actually recommends fluoride in the water supply. I think other medical groups like the ADA do, too.

Your drinking water is FULL of carcinogens in trace amounts. The current thinking is that you'd rather die at the age of 125 from these harmful effects than at the age of 30 from acute problems related to drinking tainted water. If you don't like it, try making your own drinking water or stop drinking water altogether.

The carcinogens and other impurities are in the water naturally. Flourides are usually in trace amounts too, but in America, we add a whole lot more. I think the water company should be providing water, not trying to medicate me with their additives. I'll go to the dentist or doctor if I want drugs.

Of course there are carcinogens in the water naturally. However, your drinking water supplier (and even your local wastewater treatment facility) add carcinogens in trace amounts to kill the bad stuff in the water. You're welcome to protest the decision of your drinking water supplier by not purchasing his product, of course, but your concerns are based on misinformation, not science.

Water is always a monopoly. I can't choose between competing water companies for my tap water.

Still, my question remains: Why should the water company force medication (flouride TREATS weak teeth) on a populace?

Is there is proof of data that masses amount of people are allergic and can die from Flouride???

There was a debate about this long ago. What people looked at was risk versus benefit. Tooth decay was a real problem in all economic groups, but especially in the financially disadvantaged. It was thought (and no serious studies have refuted it) that it would be a boone to the public to decrease the rate of cavities, especially in those who could not afford fillings. To date, well controlled studies have not shown that there has been harm due to this policy.

Think of it this way. Suppose you had a magic wand that could without doubt help people in a significant way which would not harm them. Would you be wrong in using it? I think not.
Likewise, fluoride in water is beneficial, and has not reasonably been shown otherwise.

Can anyone find any information to show that flouride is good for teeth, or bad for it?

Come on, I'll give you a cookie...

The rightwing is obviously desperate, resurrecting conspiracy crap from the McCarthy era... back then, it was a commie conspiracy to sap our strength by polluting our precious bodily fluids...

Iodine is a poison, too, adding it to salt is clearly a conspiracy...

Even marijuana will kill you, if you get hit by a bale of it tossed out of an airplane, or trapped in a burning warehouse full of it...

"Full of it" pretty well describes the topic at hand, too...

So is chloride, and lots of other stuff. Heck, it's actually because it kills bacteria or hinder them in growing we use these in the first place.

If you've ever seen what fluorine can do to glass you wouldn't want it on your teeth. And when the stuff leaches our of the reservoirs into the atmosphere in high consentrations it's gonna frost all our asses. And just wait till fluorine rain starts falling on the forests and running into the sea to meet the plankton. You have no idea, but then today, who knows anything about science?
