he is the highest paid athlete, correct but look at Mike Tyson... in his prime he was just an unreal boxer, and now he is broke.... lol
 
He gave a strip club $100k? Pretty stupid.
At least give make it rain twenties in a soup kitchen.
 
Floyd is dumb about many things, managing/making money isn't one of them. 100k is just chump change. I don't think we'll find him broke like Tyson.
 
Well, at least he's spending his money. If he's smart then he's got plenty more invested. The value of $100K to him is not the same as it is to someone making that much in a year.
 
iirc floyd was broke a few years ago.


edit: looking into it, seems he was heavily invested in vegas and florida real estate. he's now apparently diversifying.

Tyson didnt manage his own money and had Don King for a promoter. Most of Don Kings former fighters are penniless these days.

Mayweather more or less promotes himself and more or less manages his own money and no one really gets much of a cut. Whereas Tyson's people got huge cuts and a lot of his money got swindled.

I noticed that the real rich people will have nice toys (yachts, boeing business / gulfstream jets, etc) but they don't tell the whole world about it and post it on Twitter / youtube (hey look at me!). A lot of athletes and rappers love to show off on the other hand.
