gorgeous critters. I don't think I'm coastal enough to see the type of swallows we get around here; or maybe I'm just not paying attention. I have a decent number of bats in the back yard, and I keep telling myself I'm going to put up more bat boxes.
Yea, I found out that there are bats where I live. Last summer, the slider screen had a significant hole in it, and I met the intruder at 5:30 am before the sun was up, and lights turned on. I let out 2 short screams that made me laugh at how freaked out I sounded. Fortunately, all I had to do to get it out was to open the slider screen, and hold a broom at it, and it quickly left. Not without saying that one of the first good weather season things I did this year was to have the slider re-screened.
