I think we should just forget it all and not have a president anymore.
If I had a brick, I'd smash the state.

Maybe I should go over to Florida and teach a class on how to punch holes in a ballot. I should go there to help them count so I can put a few more holes in the ballots too.

Fellows Republicans, DOn't worry, the majority of the electoral votes has gone to Bush on the second count. It goes by how many counties that Bush has won and it is mostly red. So even a recount in Palm Beach won't help idiot Gore win Florida. He just trying to delay the election. That is why you don't see Bush in hurry to get this over with. All law suits against FL will be lost as the Supreme Court will not allow this kind of law suits to go thru since it is not in the best interest for the US, as other countries are looking at us.

Saying that Floridians can't vote is one thing but telling that Electoral officials can't count is another. You can build a space shuttle but saying that humans can't count a ballot is BS. Why are Republicans so afraid to just let the LAWFULL process of getting an Acurate count be known. The deadline is six days away, there's lots of time, why would you put someone in the whitehouse on a wrong vote count. Relax and let the lawfull and due process go forward. I just heard on CNN that in the last election, a Republican won his seat on this very process of a hand recount where a couple of judges re-counted the ballots by hand and awarded him the victory, the ballots in question where based on the same butterfly format.

If a hand count is so bad, why did Bush sign a TX law requiring that hand recounts take precedence over mechanical ones?

I think you are wrong, the 25 electoral votes go to Bush or Gore by the TOTAL for the state of Florida, The difference of which is down to less than 1,000 now. I don't think it has ANYTHING to do with how many counties were won. Just who has the most total votes in Florida.

Jeb stepping down from the Election Commission means nothing. The guy picked to replace him will probably be certifiably rabid Republican meat.

It's all PR to make Jeb look good and insulate him from the political fallout which could be substantial.
