Bought car amp off ebay. Received it. Was DOA, very little packing, small box. Returned it today via instructions from opened case on ebay. Cost me $12 to sent it(snail mail) and the user said she couldn't cover my shipping fees. Normally I would say fuck it and not worry about the shipping but she's been an idiot during this entire process and frankly I could use an extra $12 right meow.

I told her to send $10 after just getting back form the PO moments ago and am awaiting a response. I didn't think it would cost that much to send it snail mail. She should be responsible for it even if she told me earlier she couldn't, right?
 
I thought this thread was going to be a call out for a certain annoying AT member. Then I re-read the title and realised I need to change my prescription.

I would also be interested to know if p & p fees are recoverable from the seller if an item is returned because it wasn't 'as described'.

When you use a term like 'need' it implies you actually do NEED it... you know, like your survival may hinge on the fact. If that's not the case, then all you do is WANT an extra $12.

just fyi for next time:

priority mail flat rate box is like $11 or $12 for 2-3 day shipping.

should be big enough to fit any amp under ~1000W
 
As I told you before I can not afford to pay the return shipping I am already out over 25.00 and I get a busted amp back Please understand. Also you filed a claim and the policy of ebay is the buyer pays return shipping I will refund your money as soon as I receive it do you have a tracking # you can send me so I will know when it will arrive.

disclaimer to the dick holes about the money: I didn't make this thread asking if $12 was a lot of money. I wanted to know if she should be forced to reimburse me for shipping.

wait, where did he say "need" for the $12? All i read was that he "could use it", as in anyone could use an extra $12.

That would be some bullshit. I'd fuckin hate that if I was the seller. Nobody intentionally sells something DOA unless they're already planning on screwing the buyer, and if that was the case they would have just dropped off the face of the earth.

Shit happens, thats why you get insurance. Prick buyers are just as bad as scam sellers.

seller's responsibility to get it to me in working order


insurance is there to protect the seller, not the buyer.


seller decided reputation wasn't worth 12 bucks.
