Woahhh. The cheeseburgers cost $3.50 here in Detroit not sure why our 5 guys charge so little here listening to what you all are paying across the country for the same burger.

Perhaps it's because your median income ranks 66th out of 68 and the average home there is under $6,000.
I wish that that applied to things other than 5 Guys burgers and houses. Sadly, (most) things are not markedly cheaper in Detroit just because it's a shit hole.

Probably the workers' unions keeping prices higher than the market will naturally support to inflate their wages and pass on the cost. :(

and #2 Fast Food French Fry (somehow McD's won)

http://www.zagat.com/fastfood#

you guys out on the west coast can keep your "#1 best food" In-N-Out, and us on the east coast will continue to stack on the calories with Five Guys

We have a Five Guys dude and guess what? Not as good as In-N-Out. I've eaten there a few times and they make excellent food, but I've had cheaper and better burgers from small burger joints around town than Five Guys. Fries are awesome, but as far as burgers go highly over-rated.

based off that argument, in n out wouldn't be fast food either as it's cooked when you order it and you have to wait ~5 minutes, fast food to me is any place you don't leave a tip

No one really considers In-N-Out fast food.

If the restaurant can be compared to Mcdonalds, Tacobell, Burgerking, its fast food.

Fastfood doesn't always mean that its fast.

I just tried 5 Guys for the first time thanks to this thread and i gotta say: some of you guys are smoking copious amounts of crack.

I paid a little over $10 for 1 cheese burger, regular fries, and a drink.

I was expecting to eat the best burger and fries ever, but i was sorely disappointed.

1) The bun was like a soaked up sponge. It was falling apart

2) The bun wasn't large enough to hold everything together. I didn't even ask for that many toppings, just lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms and ketchup.

3) The burger itself was nothing special

4) The fries taste exactly the same as the ones they make in my corporate cafeteria.

I could not believe that there were so many people waiting in line for this overrated POS. I almost walked away when i saw the prices, but i decided to try it just once to see if it was that good. I am never going back there again. Are you people rating Five Guys because of the price? I mean, it seems like i could take a dump on a canvas, call it 'modern art', and say it's worth $500K and some of you five guys fans would believe it's actually worth that much.

Literally the ONLY good thing about five guys is the choice of toppings and that's not worth the premium.

Is that a troll? Lettuce, Tomato, Grilled Onions, Mushrooms and ketchup is quite a bit of toppings.

Not compared to some people in front of me who ordered the 'everything' (or whatever it's called) with all the toppings included. You expect me to believe those people's burgers didn't fall apart after picking it up?

LOL....so he gives his opinion, which is not the same as yours, and that automatically makes him a troll?

Pay attention to what I said. He is getting way more toppings than most burgers come with to begin with and then saying "not that many".

Couldn't agree more. It's way overpriced for what you get. If I wanted to pay those prices, and wait for my food, I could go to a sit-down restaurant.

Bottom-line, regardless of price, it just didnt' taste that good.

... you mean like the AVERAGE TOPPINGS THAT COME ON A CHEESEBURGER!? Oh no he substituted mushrooms for pickles he added SO MUCH MORE! lol at you trying to find some little stupid shit to rip on him for because his opinion is different. Five Guys is good, but overrated like a mother fucker. I can go to a local place and get a double bacon pastrami cheese burger with lettue, onion, mayo, and ketchup + fries and a large drink for 10 bucks and it's a much better burger than Five Guys.

In N Out has a lot of hype but the price is CHEAPER than most burger joints.

My favorite burger is still the classic Whopper from BK. I used to eat 4 whoppers per lunch every day in Highschool (99 cents each!!!!).

McDonalds do have some good fries but fries vary GREATLY by location and the employees who make them.

Edit: Also check these guys out... http://www.heartattackgrill.com/

fark dude....4 a day? Were you fat/obsese?

The fact that Chick-fil-A didn't win every category it was in just proves the fact that people have no idea what good food is.
