I can go to Texas roadhouse or longhorn and get a burger fries and drink for around the same price and get higher quality food.

5 guys is overrated

Seriously I just looked up the menu to order online a bacon cheeseburger with Cajun fries and a large drink was $14.

Not sure where you're located but the Little Bacon Cheeseburger is $5.49 here. "Little" just means it's one patty. If you go the Bacon Cheeseburger route it's really a double burger but still only costs $6.99.

So, not $10.

Little Bacon Cheeseburger $5.49
Little Cajun Fries $2.29
Total = $7.78

Sufficient to fill up an average person. I've never met a person who can actually eat an entire order of regular fries at this place. Little is plenty.

It's $14.27 for a burger fries and drink. That's not fast food prices by any means.

seriously, who eats that amount of food? 10$ worth of five guys food probably weights as much as 10$ McDonald's food and provides just as many calories. a large at five guys is medium almost anywhere else.

Clearly, you only hand out with small children. I can easily finish a regular burger and an entire order of regular fries with little issue. Now, I don't, because nobody needs a 4 thousand calorie meal, but I can.

You don't quit do you? I posted a screenshot of the price for what I'd get to eat there. A single patty ain't shit for me. I'm 6ft 2 and 230 lbs, I work construction not in a cubicle

You must live in a cheap place, here in an average price place that meal with no drink is almost 9.25. Five guys is by far the most expensive burger place.

You're the one thread-crapping. This is a discussion about fast food and you come in talking about how a restaurant makes better burgers. Well, no shit? that's not news here.

Yeah maybe I should rephrase. No one in their right mind should do this. Unless of course you're 6'4", 225, and carry the hammer of Thor to your construction site each day.

A "little" bacon cheese burger is 630 calories. One "serving" of fries (approximately half the regular order) is another 310. If near 1000 calories, before soda, is not enough, you're an NFL player.

Does any one have a hamburger station near them? The burgers are small but the gyros and fried mushrooms are good

Nashville is just below national average in terms of cost of living yet your Five Guys is somehow way more expensive. I'd say you're not as 'average priced' in location as you think.

I see the problem you aren't including sales tax, also your fries are 2.29 vs 2.99 here.

If you're counting calories in any way, shape or form... then you're not going to order from any fast food shithole in the the first place.

but you did say "10 dollar burger" which really isn't true. It's close, but still not true.

But I agree overall: they are quite expensive for what they are, and I don't understand why people compare them to In N Out. For the price of one of those 5 Guys burgers, you could get 2x double doubles, animal style, at In N Out and you would not be disappointed.

Both options are still too much for any one human to reasonably consume in one sitting (regardless of fatness), but the difference in value is apparent.

Yes you are. Calories are calories. 1000 calories is alot, but perfectly manageable.

You can eat nothing but fast food and still lose weight.

If you're counting calories at all, then you aren't eating a bacon cheeseburger with fries, regardless where it came from. That burger slathered with mayo, bacon, and cheese grilled at your house is no healthier.

I think they're normal burgers are 2 patties and the fries are also enough to feed 2 people.

When I go to Five Guys with my wife, we both order "Little Cheeseburgers" or "Little Bacon Cheeseburgers" with 1 order of fries...we leave stuffed. When you eat there, they used to ask if you've been before so you don't order too much food.

The first time I ever ordered the fries, they put so many in the bag, I thought it was a mistake.
