On a side note, the most recent issue of Science Magazine has an article about social exclusion.
Basically, when a person is socially excluded there is correllated activity in an area of the brain.
This same area of the brain has also been found to activate in response to physical pain.
Thus, the researchers are sorta saying: rejection really hurts.
Pretty cool if you ask me.
I never thought to associate physical pain with mental anguish when snobbed.
