hmm, okay, yea this is me again,

got another quick question. it seems like i spend a lot of time thinking about how to fit in socially here in these dorms at my first semester at this college (a christian college) and well it just seems like i cant find a trick or something differently that will magically work.

like i havent gotten plugged in as much as some ppl, because i like to sit around and think about crap a lot (i know ill stop).
and im just wondering if maybe I could fit in if I just stopped thinking about stuff completely and just tried to be myself (and told myself to 'be myself' over and over again.

do you think that would work?
i dunno, im trying not to be desparate at this point but its hard, i just wanna fit in here, and its harder since i have a later start now, i just want to plug in.
 
You're not gonna be happy if you aren't yourself, even if it gains you friends (cause they won't be real friends). So yes, be yourself. Be nice to people, be a good listner, chip into random conversations going on around you. Just be a good guy.

Your new at the college, just relax. Just be a nice guy, talk to people, be social, and it'll happen. Patience, young man! 😉

Course, I might be the blind leading the blind, cause I'm not exactly Mr. Popular. But I'm happy with my social life, and I just try to be a good person to those around me. Seems to work.

one important thing to do if you live in a dorm..... Leave your door open when you arent in class and just thinking... people popped in eachothers rooms for the first month here and now we are all good friends...

Yes I am. Another reason why it might "blind leading the blind" as I pointed out. But I've managed to fit in with my peers, which is what he's asking how to do, so I offered up what seems to have worked for me.

yea, im a christian. im on an evangualism team (sp?)

maybe i should look into a prayer group too though, or some other club, cuz there are a lot of cute girls that go here. 🙂

nah its never too late... actually people will probably be glad to see that someone lives in that room... We got a few people we never see so we call them "sasquatch"

I think you should get a campus job. It is a good way to make friends I guess.
