Fish oil

Only difference I notice when taking them was the horrible cystic acne. Could have been a bad bottle but really saw no improvement so didn't buy anymore.

I just started a one-a-day multivitamin so I'll see how that goes after the first bottle.

Usually order from vitacost.com but the last bottle I got was made in early 2017 so I was concerned about freshness. Picked up Naturemade (?) at costco last week.

I started taking it and cod liver oil for inflammation ~10 years ago. I dropped the cod liver after a while, yuck. I do take a lot, 6 gel caps/day. My inflammation is better and a side effect was that my hdl went up significantly so I'll keep popping my pills.
I stick with Bluebonnet oil - probably because it's a reputable brand and offers this oil formulated for the brain specifically. Actually does quell a certain amount of brain inflammation, or feels like it anyway. Label claims it's stabilized - i.e. shouldn't go rancid on you.

Also comes in 60 softgel size. Cheaper.
Thanks, I'll take a look at that.

But consider that just about all the purported cardio-protective benefits of Fish Oil have gone bust in the last few years:

It seems to have been based on poor observations (Eskimos), and a couple of flawed early studies, and Mega marketing dollars.

I feel like @Red Squirrel now. Try to do things health and what's the point? Healthy today, not so much tomorrow.

I've been taking Bronson krill oil due to concerns with mercury in fish and problem with farm raised fish.

My doc wanted me to take it to lower cholesterol.

What about borage oil? Is there any real benefit to it? My naturopath (I don't really go anymore I found it was a waste of time going as often as they got me to go) told me that it's better than fish oil but I did some quick research and borage oil is actually Omega 6 and not 3. So I still take the Omega 3. I don't know if it's placebo or not, but I found the borage oil does seem to help with my psoriasis. I've also been more aggressive with my ointment from my doctor though, but there's one spot I kept forgetting (around the ears) and it just kind of cleared up on it's own.
