That one was the Mercury Marine engine, its the only vette I know of that didn't have a GM pushrod engine in it. This was the brand new hot off the line supercar.

The guy also bought the 3rd made Corvette ever (the first 2 were held by GM) for $1 million the same day he bought the ZR1. He's apparently plenty rich. Anyway I was responding to the guy that said he should have bought something else for that much. The money he spent goes to charity, so who cares what his motives were? He obviously could afford a garage full of Ferrari's, but I don't think Ferrari is donating the proceeds to charity.
