I think he'll just get a ticket. Speeding tickets suck, but the first ones are ususally not the end all of your license.

might get points, which is gonna suck.

Hell, in my state you'd have had your license revoked on the spot and been carted off to jail for reckless driving. That's a nasty ticket.

80 in a 55 is reckless in a lot of places, what exactly was the charge?

As for leniency, I think you ruined your "my first violation" currency by pleading guilty to 25 over (meaning you not only you admit going 80 but that you were fully aware you were going 80).

well, i didn't know i was going 80 until i saw the trooper and looked at my meter. and in my defense, my friend was having serious stomach aches and i wanted to get her to a rest room.

That is probably the funniest defense story I've ever heard...

25 over can get you arrested in WI. At that speed, I'd be suprised if the judge dropped anything. If you were doing 65-70 in a 55 I could see them letting it go.

my first ticket was 85 in 65. the trooper let me off with a seat belt violation. phew!

Seatbelt violations suck. I had to go to this stupid class where they showed pictures of morons who wrapped their cars around trees and crap. The fact that these Darwin candidates would have died even with a seatbelt didn't seem to matter.

i was pulled over for going 112 in a 65... got my car impounded and almost arrested (the cop ended up dropping me off @ a gas station).

i go to court, tell the judge... i had some nasty mcdonalds for dinner and just wanted to go home and take a sh!t (which was the truth)... i also explained that it was 3 in the morning and i just got done programming a lab... printed up my lab submissions as proof and the grade i got on the lab... also tossed in the fact that after i was searched the officer made me hold my hands up on the grid for about an hour and 40 mins and i lost circulation in my hands... also explained that he said if i laid them down he would toss my a$$ in jail... after that the judge just laughed and said i had to pay 70 bucks for the ticket and no points, 🙂.

yeah, it sucked. i was gunning it hard to get up the hill too, 94 camry doesnt handle the hill too well, i am surprised i actually went up to 80 when i looked. oh man, this is gonna suck.

well i wrote all that down in the letter. i mean i didnt know i was going 80 until i saw the trooper and was like oh sh1t, then looked at my meter. oh man...

LOL...hell no it won't. Your only hope is to go back in time to when you were pulled over, grow a decent set of tits and cry your brains out.

My wife got stopped once doing around 75 in a 45 and told the cop she was trying to get home to pee. She got away with it which still amazes me.

Why not hire a lawyer? First offense they can probly get it reduced, if not maybe a Prayer For Judgement (sucks 'cuz in most states you can't get another ticket for 3 years or both hit your insurance).

Sounds like you're gonna take it up the ass

Man, you are a pansy. All you have to do is plead not guilty, go to court, and its almost guaranteed to be reduced to no points. Every ticket I got they just wanted the money, and had no problem reducing to no points.

All I did was show up to court wearing something nice (Suit, or Polo and slacks), and they were like "Oh, okay. We will reduce to parking on pavement/opening door unsafely, and you give us $150." I was like booyah.

Pleading guilty to a traffic offense like this is basically saying, "Yes, I was going this fast, I was intending to go this fast, there are no mitigating circumstances."

Always go to court. For your first offense you should have stood when called for a plea and asked for traffic school with dismissal upon successful completion.

You're going to PMITA prison, son.

Where were you driving? In the desert? And whatever happened to doing your business behind bushes?
