Regular. How do you use an inverted mouse in a shooter. With a joystick in a simulator, that completely understandable, because that's how I fly, and that's how real pilots fly, but real people don't walk backwards to go forward.
Ever since I learned to fly (fixed wing and helicopters) I have used inverted. It would seem very unnatural to try to be inside of a piloted vehicle in a FPS. And yes, I think of the "person" in FPS games as a piloted vehicle.
This is starting to get a little discouraging here. Hard to believe that only 24% of the respondants play games the right way = INVERTED. I'm not trying to influence the vote or anything here. (Yea right!) I guess it's something you just don't think that much about until someone messes with your settings and you sit down and try to play and it's all backwards.
Interesting fact, most of the people that kick the crap out of me in UT online also play inverted. Could it be that they have a better developed right or left hemisphere in their brains? Or could is just be that they have better ping times? Kind of makes me wonder...
I'm left handed and play inverted but most of my friends who play regular are righties (except for a freakish friend who's quasi-ambidextrous and plays inverted.) Any connection with you guys?
But of note, since I don't enjoy playing daikatana, but unfortunately own it, I was fooling around with the configs that you can choose to adopt, and many of them use inverted, even Romero as I recall. Who knows what this means if anything.
I'd just like to point something out too. I know how to fly, but I don't use inverted. I use regular. When I shoot I follow the target. It's the common thing to do when you're a person.
