Regular. How do you use an inverted mouse in a shooter. With a joystick in a simulator, that completely understandable, because that's how I fly, and that's how real pilots fly, but real people don't walk backwards to go forward.

Regular, and I think my name LD (read as Elite Game Master) goes hand in hand with game servers, so I would be a FSP pretty bad. 🙂

LD

Ever since I learned to fly (fixed wing and helicopters) I have used inverted. It would seem very unnatural to try to be inside of a piloted vehicle in a FPS. And yes, I think of the "person" in FPS games as a piloted vehicle.

This is starting to get a little discouraging here. Hard to believe that only 24% of the respondants play games the right way = INVERTED. I'm not trying to influence the vote or anything here. (Yea right!) I guess it's something you just don't think that much about until someone messes with your settings and you sit down and try to play and it's all backwards.

Interesting fact, most of the people that kick the crap out of me in UT online also play inverted. Could it be that they have a better developed right or left hemisphere in their brains? Or could is just be that they have better ping times? Kind of makes me wonder...

I've played both ways. You can get use to either way, just don't switch back and forth. That's the killer. The way I generally play is regular.

I'm left handed and play inverted but most of my friends who play regular are righties (except for a freakish friend who's quasi-ambidextrous and plays inverted.) Any connection with you guys?

ATX

right handed regular.

when you push the mouse in windows, the cursor goes up. Same in FPS. simple.

but I'd prolly use inverted if I played with a joystick.

I think its regular. However I do not think about moving my mouse to look, I just "look" and my mouse moves, so I think it is regular.

heh, i forgot what my setting is 😕
i'm at school right now, so i can't check it either...

i think it's inverted, but i'm not sure...

-- edit --
no, it is regular 🙂

hmm, you people are weird! 🙂 only inverted for me, strange how I use regular in windows but it has to be inverted for games...

The next question is mouse or trackball? inverted

I play Regular....I really didnt think so many people played inverted!

I would be cool to have a FPS DM game of UT or something..... Regular VS Inverted

I would be happy to Take on someone Inverted in a Q2 rail only match 🙂

MESSAGE ME IF YOUR INTERESTED (CABLE OR 56...doesnt matter)

IM ON A 56k!

Regular.

But of note, since I don't enjoy playing daikatana, but unfortunately own it, I was fooling around with the configs that you can choose to adopt, and many of them use inverted, even Romero as I recall. Who knows what this means if anything.

I guess I'm weird. I play several flight sims with a stick, but I play Rogue Spear with the mouse set up regular. 🙂

I'd just like to point something out too. I know how to fly, but I don't use inverted. I use regular. When I shoot I follow the target. It's the common thing to do when you're a person.
