i love hearing Ed Welburn talk about cars. His passion is so apparent.

over 1g cornering
faster than a C6 GrandSport around tracks.

Just watched the launch and I'm giddy inside. The car was beautiful, didn't have any chrome, real carbon fiber and aluminum inside/out, real seats, doesn't look like a Viper and it looked like they actually painted the lower rear trim. I told my wife that I will have a '15 or '16 model and she agreed.

Fat butt. I'll get used to the look of the quarterpanels. But I really like it overall. Studly. Afraid to ask the price.

Edit: Not really a fat butt, but the taper of the roofline creates that wide shelf over the rear wheels. But like I said, I'll get used to it. Do want.

54k is going to be pricing

where's toolsmaximus at?

Is the 7spd manual arriving at launch?

8spd automatic is outsourced, correct until Chevy makes their own in house?

Does the 8spd Auto launch with the car?

i like it. wish they didn't use the camaro tail lights, but it works i guess

They are similar, but the Vette are different compared side by side. The Vette is more of a up shape LED that is 3D in appearance. The Camaro is one solid lens without a center section plus they are two separate units while the Vette has the two strips integrated into the vent. It's a shame that the Camaro had a similar shape first because the Vette has a much better design.

I like it quite a bit. Interior I'm not sure on. Its like a mix of the new Viper, and the 90s Supra and RX-7. Personally I'm kinda tired of the typical interiors.

They really should've figured out something different for the blacked out pillars/top. They either should have blacked out that horizontal part on the roof and not blacked out the A pillars, or not gone with bare carbon fiber for the main part of the roof. Those two body colored edges and the crossing piece just doesn't look right.

I think they could've done something better with the targa top. Like make it plexan or some other lightweight clear center with the edges being painted carbon fiber. Make it kinda like the Koenigsegg one but with a bigger middle section so the glass pieces and the body colored pieces match up.

Its about like the new Viper. I like it a lot, but with some minor tweaks I think it would look a lot better too.
