Okay, serious answers here please (I know thats never going to happen but I can hope 😛). Anyway, I got my first ever job at Target the other day to be a....cart attendant. Super awesome I know, but its something I guess. So do any of you have advice for well...anything?

Try your best to be nice to everyone. Even horizontally enhanced girls have good looking friends.

Don't be the guy who has a huge greasy shit in the staff bathroom everyday. Seriously. It's an ass thing to do.

Pushing carts is a good start, but get inside the store as soon as you can. Doing carts in summer and/or winter is a PITA. If you got experience/interests in other areas the store has (electronics, cashier, ect), let your supervisor know you'd love to cross train in one of those positions, then hopefully you can move there full time.

yeah, pushing carts in 120 degrees will suck if I am still doing that 🙁 I know a fair bit about electronics so I guess I'll see about crosstraining into that during their orientation thingy

I know from experience. Worked at a grocery store one summer in the Phoenix area. Talk about a sucky job.

I would say:

Be friendly: Say "Hello" to any customer walking in the store, and "Thank you" to those leaving

you can excel in nearly any minimum wage job simply by showing up on time every day and being respectful toward your bosses.

but its 40 cents above minimum 😛

When I was there for the interview there was someone who managed to fail the questionnaire three times...I loled

dont breathe trough your mouth in public and you will be ok.

Talk to the managers every day and make them know who you are. Tell them you want to work on your development and ask to sit down and get a plan on paper. Talk about someday being a manager and starting at the bottom and working every job is a GREAT way learn how the business works.

Show up on time and take extra shifts when asked..

Search for TridenT and job on ATOT and feel slightly better about yourself.

And get your backside into other positions. That cross training advice sounded good to me.

Make sure the fact that you are touching feces and virus covered shopping cart handles all day does not gross you out.

I'm hoping not being an imbecile will help me advance
That's probably it. Just show up on time for your shifts and do your job correctly. That already makes you a better worker than most. I guess you could try to take extra tasks and whatnot to show you're really willing to work whatever area, but it depends if this is just a summer job or you plan to stay for a couple of years.

Just work hard and be an honest person. Most other things will fall into place given you do those two things. Also, avoid work drama. It's advice I should follow more.
