Kind of reminds of the points about how close the performance was with the GTX 570 and HD 6970 and were around 349 to 369 when compared to the 499 GTX 580.

Enjoy these kinds of views then defending premiums strongly!:)

Makes me think a big-K SKU will be released later this year to replace the 680 (maybe 685?). That would be $499-599 and would likely be 25% or so faster than the existing 680. That would be a great product spread, with the 660 likely being out as well for between $250-300.

Has nVidia's efforts with the @Folding folks paid off yet in regards to Kepler?

How low is distribution pricing?

Enough to say that our answers should be right and not the $450 some others are quoting. Not even close. If newegg sells at $450 then they are seriously gouging to the point where anyone should run.

Is that done through EVGA or through retailer?

Though EVGA. Must have to have purchased an EVGA card from an approved vendor, 90 days to step-up to a new card (if and when one becomes available for step-up). I had free Amazon money so I bought a couple 570's to play with. Currently in 680 cue but I may switch to 670's when they come available.

so now TweakTown has posted a review of the O/Ced GTX 670 and from what i see there, there is absolutely no reason to get a GTX 680 now.

but i did notice something weird about their power consumption charts...they say the card consumes 400 Watts at load, but also that the 680 consumes ~450, BUT the Palit 680 4GB consumes only 400! looks like a mistake.

just one more day to reviews?

Wow, this is hard to hold out. I had the "submit order" button ready from my PSVita at 1am last night LOL. I decided to hold back and enjoy my 7970.

Tweaktown added an overclocking review of the GTX 670.

http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/4...rd_overclocked_performance_preview/index.html

NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 670 overclocking numbers aren't as impressive as we'd hoped and talking to a couple of partners about these OC results, the numbers seem consistent. What we tend to be hearing is that while getting to GTX 680 speeds aren't a problem, moving much higher is a little bit of an issue.

Just a guess, they are really binning the failed GTX 680 parts, it might be pretty sure you won't be getting any massive overclocks on this card (unless your're extremely lucky).
