I keep the taskbar at the top. Just a habit that I stuck with, and I still use objectdock which leaves my desktop nice and clean. The wallpaper is mostly space-scapes that change every minute.

Nice background!

pls. enlighten this noob, why opera10 over ff?

It's faster and doesn't have a memory leak.

I'm sure other can chime in with more advantages.

speed dial and no need to download a billion addons.

Does it have adblock?

Question - is your windows desktop like your real desk top? I.e. is your windows desktop minimalist, and your real desk is clean? My windows desktop is a clusterfuck with lots of unorganized desktop files...and my real desk is pretty much a clusterfuck too.

I've been using W7 as my main OS since 2008 before it even hit beta 1 (see my screenshots above). If was stable enough for me to use it then and it's definitely stable enough now.

Absolutely. I installed it on my desktop and my three year old laptop that came out before Vista even. It runs great on both. I am having some logitech setpoint issues on my desktop but I haven't spent a lot of time researching a solution.

There's really not many reasons to use XP anymore once win7 is officially released.

Here's mine

With this much horizontal real-estate, it only makes sense to use the vertical task bar. I've found it works (and looks) much better with the new Win7 bar than with older versions.

AVG is the worst of the 4 free anti virus programs. Please reconsider! :p
I hate AVG Free 8... the "please buy me!" pop-up ads drove me nuts!
Avira's nag screens drove me back to AVG.

I forget why I didn't like Avast.

Not sure why you wouldn't like avast either, unless you were just turned off by the fact that you had to register it.

Yeah... I use Avast now. Registered it once... and used that keycode on four other computers so I didn't have to use the registration signup screen again :)

Very simple... No need for more.. I use very few applications.

FileZilla, Pidgin, FireFox, iTunes, HoN, FME, VHScnCap, Fraps, uTorrent, VLC, and Foxit Reader... That's about all I ever use.

change the background

I haven't found anything else that is suitable. :/ I rarely look at the desktop anyway.

I'll never Syringer you, ATOT. Spider

EDIT: In case you're wondering, that not-so-little guy was living in the hosta at the bottom of my stairs. Dude was really proficient at trapping; there were TONS of ants, earwigs, and Japanese beetles in his outside web. I love these kinds of spiders. They eat all the bugs that try to get into my apartment.

I'm really hoping W7 kills off XP once and for all.
