Soggy, and I like my popsicles partially melted so I can mush them up into a snow cone-type substance.

Ditto on general opinion, cereal is and always will be eaten crunchy, that is the idea, soggy is just sickening.

Interesting. Sometimes popsicles get so cold they hurt a little. I might try this method.

Crunchy: why even bother with the milk, it only makes it taste worse. I seriously wonder about all the rest of you who want it crunchy and then add something for the sole reason of making it soggy...

I've had this debate with friends all my life. Most people say they add milk only because you are supposed to. They just do it without thinking. Frosted flakes + milk? Gross. There is only one cereal that needs it - grape nuts since they are hard as a rock without it. Try pooring yourself a bowl of cereal without milk and try it once. Try taking a box of honey nut cheerios to your computer and eat out of the box as you game - it really is good that way. Most people I've actually convinced to do that haven't gone back to milk.

well there is the lubrication factor, but that is different from "soggy". you can think an inappropriate analogy, if you like, but i can't post it :p

Thats why I say milk often makes the cereal taste worse. I forgot about shredded wheat though (I never buy it). I guess 2 cereals need milk. Shredded wheat is too dry and stringy without it.

I've found that a nice glass of juice or milk itself is so much better than sugarry, dirty milk from the bottom of the bowl...

Personally, I prefer to let my cereals sit for 5 mins or so before eating them.. especially Peanut Butter Captain Crunch.. let that sit for a good 5 minutes or so, and it will be the soggy mush that cereal SHOULD be! My wife on the other hand, completely disagrees.. she gobbles down the cereal the instant she pours milk on it to make sure its as crunchy as possible.

OMG!!! I thought I was the only one that liked soggy cereal! It is awesome if you let it seep for a while! It tastes SO much better!!!
Thanks for this poll! Now i know I am not alone!:D:eek:

well i think we can generalize it to:

kiddy cereals - nasty with milk
adult cereals - good with milk

Can I make a change to that? I agree that high sugar cereal = nasty with milk, but my favorite cereal of all is Cracklin Out Bran (definately an adult cereal) and it tastes great without milk.

is it nasty with milk though? i bet it tastes good with milk as well... unless i'm wrong. because i've never had it :p

i would guess that we can change it to:

kiddy cereals - nasty with milk, often good without milk
adult cereals - good with milk, sometimes good without milk
