Is a Ilink port compatiable with all firewire/1394 devices? I asked a guy at radioshack and he said not neccesarily since sony created it.
Sony did not create it. (Apple did.) Sony just licenced it and named it differently.Originally posted by: stickybytes

Well, I just benched USB 2 vs. USB 1.1 with my 256 MB Lexar JumpDrive Sport, with a 51650 KB (50.4 MB) file:Originally posted by: SUOrangeman
I'm trying to wait for a FW800+USB2 card. Granted, I don't have a need for either right now.

The iLink port that you find on Sony laptops is a 4-pin IEEE 1394 Firewire port. 100% compatible.
Well, I just benched USB 2 vs. USB 1.1 with something as simple (and slow) as a USB thumb drive. It makes a HUGE difference.Originally posted by: SUOrangeman
