Sorry. I know this is a beaten topic, but now there's an online vote, and I just want to see anandtech take part in it.🙁

Almost everyone techy uses FF,
There are a few holdouts who insist there are problems with it and stick to IE,
Almost all the noobs use IE.

END OF THREAD!!

In my experience most noobs stroke the Firefox cock in order to look cool or separate themselves, when they're still noobs. And when I think of reputable non-biased no-noob tech websites, cNet doesn't come to mind.

well, you have to separate true noobs from noobs who've gotten a taste of what it means to be computer-savvy and want to act the part.

But I think cNet's ratings are just about right for this....neither browser is perfect, they're both pretty good, FF is a little bit better.

Someone did a REALLY crappy job on that copetition logo. they forgot to take out some of the back ground in firefox. POOR worksmanship.

I did like FF but the fact that it won't work with all sites bugged me. I know there are security holes in IE but I want a browser that can do it all. Until FF can work with all sites..i'm sticking with IE 🙁

I don't know why everyone on this board has to root for the little guys. IE6 all the way.

EDIT: And that poll is rediculous. It's like taking a poll at a Bush/Cheney rally on who they'd vote president. Anyone who cares about who wins the poll is obviously a Firefox user. Doesn't all minorities want to be noticed?

As far as the user experience goes, no, it's not. You type/click on a link and it displays a web page. It's a fricking web browser. I suppose it's less of a target, so I use it, but I never think about how much FF rocks when I'm looking at web pages.
