Yeah actually, it is when I have all the same features of Firefox using Opera and it's using 6MB and it's faster.

Opera

It's funny when FF people think IE people are crazy for not switching to a faster browser when in fact Opera has beaten both in benchmark tests. opera 4 life

Edit: Opera - 8mb currently

When will this RAM usage B.S. stop getting spread around? If Windows needed the "runaway" RAM, it wouldn't be as liberal with it. Unused RAM is wasted RAM.

Right beside the one of lazy programmers who don't write using proper W3C Standards and the one of IE not adhearing to W3C thus allowing the lazy ass pages to be displayed.

Only total n00bs don't have enough RAM to run FF. I'm running it on this POS 2100+ with 512 mb of RAM.

What if you need to start up a few other programs and maybe bit torrent? Of course you can run FF w/o anything else running, but once the processes build, RAM becomes important, especially with only 512

Uhhh first off, I was joking around with a friend. Secondly, I'm currently running Xfire, AIM, Progress Quest, FireFox, Azureus, Steam, and whatever background tasks and I have no problems whatsoever. I've also got 5 tabs open.

A typical geek myth. As a web developer I can tell you Firefox is a bullsh!t browser that doesn't display things that ARE correct the right way. For no good reason sometime.

I'm not trying to be a fanboi or anything, hell I only even posted in this thread to give CR a hard time, but I can tell you that IE has displayed W3C-coded pages much more inaccurately than FF has for me.
