This isn't a FF issue but a windows behavior. Depending on your security settings, windows makes you sometimes unblock downloaded files from the internet - I've seen it before.

Since when did FF start to block downloads?
I haven't seen that behavior before, and how are they determining that the file may be a virus or spyware?

I think that is BS, I know the file isn't either, and FF shouldn't be telling me what I can or can't download.

*edit, seems you can "unblock" said file by right clicking on it, and select Unblock.

They don't even tell you they blocked it, until you go looking where the file is.
So, instead of asking the user what they want to do, they silently block it, leaving the user scratching their head wondering where the file is, since it wasn't in the designated download location.

Nope, it definitely is a FF issue.
Turns out, they use google's safe browsing crap, and apparently, the file in question was marked "bad" by the google overlords.

The windows version of this at least tells you something, FF's version says nadda, unless you open up the downloads window.
Take a look...

Funny thing is, it was nirsoft's site.

I actually dumped my beta version of Firefox X64 yesterday for the regular, it started clashing with Amazon Prime.

See how that works out in the future, bit of turmoil atm it looks.

Up to beta 8 version now ;), one thing I always do is disable hardware acceleration, this always improves stability on any browser.

Btw still no issues with my FF 64 bit version, not had a single crash yet :).

I had a weird thing happen this morning, lost my themes for Firefox, Forecastfox was still there and my Tab Mix Plus etc so extensions were not effected.

It also moved my tabs from bottom to top, so I had to redo that to the correct position via Tab Mix Plus.

Another new update for 64 bit beta version ie 42.09 so will redownload my themes after update.

Very weird.

Update: Themes reinstalled, seems ok so far, still very weird what happened, still no crashes so guess that is a plus point.

Yikes! I think that I'll just keep on running 40 until it all gets sorted out and if not then at least I've got a functional browser.

edit: Nevermind, must have been a fluke phenomenon (October 24th, 2015).

Still no crashes on my FF 64 bit version 42.

FYI I'm using Sapphire 280X OC with CPU overclocked, flash installed as well with my extensions.

64 bit version is more stable then 32 bit version in my experience and having used both Nvidia and AMD cards on Firefox that is my conclusion.

Anyway hats off to Mozilla in releasing a very good 64 bit version with version 42.
