Please let us know if there is a 64 bit version! Is switching between 32 & 64 relatively straightforward?

I remember when upgrading from v3 to v4 was a big change. 37 updates later, not much is different.

|1-----2--3------------------4----5678910.. and so on. But why?

To make sure people know that it's ChromeFox now and not Firefox. :awe:

The fast release cycle was good and bad. They got bigger fixes and new features pushed out a lot faster.

The mirroring of Chrome has made me sad. Especially lately, Chrome is a hog.

Have turned the bedroom HTPC into the firefox x64 beta tester, if I like might put it on the main.

Works fine in here with WIN X so far.

I went over to 64 bit version of FF ie 42.01 beta, seems faster, no issues with my extensions or bookmarks, in fact all carried over on the upgrade with no issues.

Side note: I did have three flash plug-in crashes with latest 32 bit (Firefox41), so far none with 64 bit version but early days :) .

Btw on Win10 Pro x64.

41 completely hard locks on my XP work machine. I updated it with 5 windows open (like a dumbass) and now it tries to open them regardless. Even safe mode won't work. Had to roll back to 40.0.3 for now.

Did you try to refresh firefox or can you not even do that?

p.s. Wow, you still have XP at work? Surprised that they haven't gotten rid of it yet.

Norton stated that it won't be until the end of next month before they have a version of their identity safe that works with 41 so I'll stick with the last version of 40 for now.

Industrial software doesn't play well or won't run at all (even now) with Windows 7. Some of the software still is run in a VM on Windows 98.

It's just getting to the point that I'm going to have to get another laptop and have both XP and Windows 7 to keep everything flowing. We still have 98 laptops too used for certain older software (some of it DOS based).

Yeah that is unfortunate.. a lot of the custom equipment and embedded OS are going to be the most difficult to get rid of.

You don't get a session restore prompt page?

Not sure if it would help but:
copy paste the below code and change its value to "0"

browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes

41 is also crashing hard on my Windows 7 systems. 9 crashes in last few hours.

No problems up until 41.

I suppose I could reset it and start it over.

Refreshed all of the settings and still locks up. Goes to "Not Responding" and the cursor sits and spins at times by simply clicking on the bookmarks menu.

Seems something broke in this one...hope the fix is quick.

I've been having freezes and input lag since upgrading to v41 from 40.0.3. Wasn't sure it was firefox but I've done a good amount of testing and it definitely is this build. Not sure what they did but many people are complaining about it.

I finally had to roll back to 40.0.3. on my Windows 7 machine. Will do others and turn off auto update later today.
