Did you check you add-on after the update and make sure they are current? Some may also be incompatible with the new version.

Is that specific with Abobe Flash Player v 17.0.0.188 Vs FP v 17.0.0.169 - Specifically pointing out CNN and uTube Video in Full Screen issues.

Believe me I could take the latest FF version but just can't take their latest GUI and Preferences GUI - It's too obtrusive and they don't even know where their going - Just give a simple Page for heavens sakes.

There don't seem to be any security-related fixes in 38.01, so I'm skipping it. I do wish there were a way to turn off notifications for a given update after the first time it alerts you, though. I'm getting kind of tired of clicking "Remind me later" but I still want to be notified of new updates when they're released...

That's one of the first things that I did and I'm good in that respect. There's something wrong with how it handles websites. I keep getting a plugin has stopped working error but if I load the very same ones into IE nothing happens out of the ordinary and no crashes. I had to start using ff for college as the myitlab plugin doesn't work in ie 11.

firefox 38.0.1 has been crashing with windows xp. i just want firefox to go back to zero crashing which was the number one reason why i loved firefox.

I disabled Valence which came with Firefox 38 and fingers crossed no more crashing.

I've had Waterfox (or was that Firefox) 38.0.1 crash, on several Newegg pages.

Part of the product description was "(null)", so something was being passed a null pointer for a string value somewhere.

Not a good sign. Firefox / Waterfox had been, up until this point, VERY reliable. As in, I can keep one instance running for a month or two, at least.

When I am on last.fm ff will crash on a regular basis along with google +. I can have those very same pages open in ie 11 without any issues. I've also noticed that ff has a tendency to slow down as more tabs are opened even though there's plenty of ram available. Last time I had almost 10gb of ram available and ff slowed down on me.

Right now I am forced to retain FF as my university uses the pearson myitlab and it doesn't support ie 11 or chrome. Each semester I have to swap browsers around because difference classes have software with different requirements.

i am still having the crashing problem so i uninstalled firefox so i am now using google 43 which has not crashed.
not had one crash, this is a clean install though with a clean profile with the following add-ons:

AdBlock Plus
YouTube Flash Player
Xmarks
Flash HD Player
LastPass
Classic Theme Restorer
Classic Toolbar Buttons
IE TAB

I am surprised by all the issues reported. I have about 5 different OS's running the latest ff right now (all upgrades) and none of them are experiencing issues.

I forgot to mention, I disabled Heartbeats rating and OneClick Search and I hid the stupid chat now feature

There has to be an issue with ff and how it handles scripts. IE 11 and chrome can sit on last fm all day long without issue but all ff needs is just a few minutes and it chokes down and then crashes.

Does anyone have this problem with the latest version of Firefox?

Firefox doesn't repaint the tab - I switch from tab A to tab B. First I still see tab A and then, partially at first, tab B's content starts showing

Are you talking about the tab itself? Because this does happen on host OS (windows 7) on the rig in my sig, but none of the other installs. Could be an nvidia thing.

Not a big deal, and the closest thing I have to an issue with this version.

Yes the tab itself.

It worked fine on Firefox 37.

Why do you think it is a nvidia thing when it worked fine on Firefox 37?

Not just nvidia, but nvidia + ff combined. And the reason I call on nvidia is that I don't have this issue on another other install, which consist of two with Intel video drivers and three with vmware video drivers.

Can you give a link that crashes? Would listening to this crash for you?

http://www.last.fm/listen/globaltags/trance

It seems to use Youtube and says it's in Beta stage?

When I am on my last fm home page http://www.last.fm/user/Puffnstuff it will crash continuously. I've had chrome on the same page without any issues for several hours now. I can also do the same with IE 11 so ff has an issue with how it handles script because I keep getting a script warning message in ff that never happens in the other browsers. I just want to see if you guys see the same behavior with your ff. It could happen on another site that as others have complained about but I noticed it earlier today that my problem always occurs when I have last fm open in ff. Chrome handled their beta site just fine as well so I'm using it to view last fm now so I don't lose my session. Mozilla needs to address the issue because not so long ago it was happening for me at other sites and while I was logged into the university. I hate having to switch back and forth between browsers so I can view different sites with different ones. I need a stable ff so I can use the pearson myitlab plugin for school labs.

Everybody should look under the help tab and submit feedback on how this browser is crashing.
