I'd be interested in how those users that have frequent crashes use their browser. If we are talking about 100 tabs open like I see some people say, and leaving the browser open for days (weeks?) at a time, then I wouldn't be surprised to get constant crashes. Also the number of add-ons and what add-ons you use. I think some people expect too much out of what they are using.

I've never had crashing problems. I tend to use a lot of addons, and my tab number is usually around 30. I also seldom close it aside from update. It's not unusual for it to be open a couple weeks at a time.

Is Firefox 64 bit?

It is on GNU/Linux, but not on Windows. If you want 64bit on Windows, Waterfox provides it. That's built by a third party. It isn't an official Mozilla product.

I have had Firefox crash all the time even the 19 version. When I check for updated It doesn't show me 19.0.1

Firefox 19 started crashing on me today. Couldn't even open it up anymore. Finally had to do a full uninstall and reinstall.

Not sure if it's something with my new PC (which has been running solidly for a week) or something with Firefox.

Will monitor the situation and see how it turns out.

This was on 19.0

Edit: Maybe it was not Firefox after all. The new PC (built about 2 months ago) started acting strange and then blue screening. After running tests including Memtest86+, seems that one (or both) of my Patriot DDR3 sticks is bad. Moved the Patriot to another PC and same failures. Time to RMA the Patriot and in the meantime, will test the PC with backup ram. Hope Firefox is now OK.

The real question is should I reinstall everything since the ram was most likely bad when I started!?!??? :(

Engineer,
Since it's only been a week and to be completely sure, i would reinstall everything. Better now than if you have to do it with more time put in.

I also can't remember the last time FF crashed for me. Even then it was a problem with a particular site, not a browser issue.

I had to uninstall FF including all user data and reinstall. I ran the Windows verification (SFC) utility which verified every file of the OS to make sure that it was not corrupt. Everything went OK on that end.

I'll monitor the rest to make sure that nothing crashes.

I never do the installed versions of browsers.. portableapps.com for me.

The installed versions put way too much garbage in your user profile, Especially Chrome if you don't know the command line arguments or have group policies for it.
